Yay for a sixty-page handbook!

I'm currently printing off the manual for student teaching. It's sixty pages long. Then I have to punch it and put it in a binder. Best part? I NEED TWO COPIES. One for my other coop (because I'm working with two teachers in the same district, so I thought they should each have one), and one for me--because a lot of it is paperwork for moi, so I should probably have a copy to keep with me so I don't completely blow this whole thing.

We had our meeting today about student teaching. You wouldn't believe some of the things we heard--stories of what other student teachers have actually done. Apparently, these people all lacked common sense. Thus, I have learned...

1) Do not date students.
2) If a student asks you to the prom, say no. The only way you are allowed to attend prom is as a chaperone.
3) Do not get up and leave in the middle of a meeting because it's four o'clock and you think your day is done. IT IS NOT.
4) Don't badmouth anybody in your school. ESPECIALLY where they can hear it.
5) If it's too short, too tight, too low-cut, or has inappropriate slogans on it, don't wear it. This would include most of our school T-shirts, as our mascot is Beauford the Beaver. We have enough dirty shirts to sink a ship.
6) Seriously--don't date students.

Copy one, page forty-eight...seventy-two pages to go >.>

This also means that starting tonight, I won't be on as much or as late from Sunday to Thursday. Gotta be up at six AM (at the latest) every weekday morning to be on the road by a quarter to seven. I actually did my hair and make-up and everything this morning. From start to finish, it took me about half an hour. So I figure if I shower in the evenings, six AM should give me plenty of time.

First copy done! Time to start hole-punching while the second copy prints :D

XDD Yay you! Wow, I'm surprised they'd even think you'd wear a T-Shirt to student teach o.o; And don't date students?! What? That's totally shocking to hear! [/sarcasm]

Have fun! I'll be thinking about you ^^

Good luck, girl!

Here's another MaximOfStudentTeaching: "Never repeat any PK-isms." You know what I mean. Speaking of... one of my choirs was singing "Carol of the Bells" for their Christmas concert... The girls sing the syllable "dong" at the end. One day, in rehearsal, Nicole wanted them to hold that note, so she said (and I quote, loosely...) "Girls, sing and hold your dong!" In less time than it takes to sing "Hark how the bells, sweet silver bells!" Nicole had turned sunburn-red and the room was a cacophany of laughter. It reminded me of the good ol' days at BV. Miss them!
