*panic panic panic*

candylandI'm updating from the school computer right now because I always have a little bit of down-time when I get here, so I can relax before the chaos starts. But right now, I am so panicking.
See, I knew I was going to get to teach the sprouts sooner or later--that's a BIG part of student teaching. But Elem Teacher and I had kind of come up with a plan, about easing me into it, so I wouldn't just get dumped in front of a class all at once. Like, she would teach a lesson twice (to the first two sections), and then I would teach the same lesson to the third section. Or having me teach the choreography for some of the songs we're working on for their program.
Normal, right?
Well...Elem Teacher called me earlier. She hurt her ankle last night--it's so bad she can't even stand up--and she isn't coming in. It's me and a sub, because I can't legally take the full reins of a classroom as I am not yet a certified teacher. In short...I'm pretty much the teacher today 0_0
Fortunately, my wonderful coop took pity on me because we'd planned on me starting slowly next week and working into it. So she gave me options: I've got her lesson plans, and I could teach those...or pick one of the videos and have them watch that. It's not that I'd really mind teaching today. It's more that it got dropped on me with such short notice. And Candy-chan plus surprises like this equals SMALL AMOUNT OF PANIC.
I hope the sub gets here soon--we'll go from there >.>;;
EDIT: It just occurred to me to look, but I checked the news--the groundhog did NOT see his shadow. According to legend, that means an early spring! ^______^

Date: 2007-02-02 11:28 pm (UTC)It is Groundhog day! That makes sense, considering that I watched the movie Groundhog Day before heading to school today...and I didn't make the connection.
Early spring, huh? I'm quite happy with the weather currently but it's not too cold where I'm at. As long as the spring lasts as long as possible though 'cause I hate summer.
