I have two half-finished Hugs and two half-finished Nights lying around as well...and a whole lot of plunnies o.o

What is your icon of? It looks familiar...

Yay for plunnies...

The icon is from Hey Arnold!, the episode called Egg Story where Arnold and Helga pair up for a parenthood project and they have to care for an egg. One of my favorite episodes of all. :D

My favorite Hey Arnold! episode was DEFINITELY either the opera one, or the one where they had a day of family activities and Helga's dad calls Arnold an orphan...that episode actually made me cry a little :)

Yeah, the opera one is a good one. And I like all the episodes with Dino Spumoni.

Hey Arnold! was just a really good show--I haven't watched it in ages, though...and I haven't seen the movie, even though I've heard it was surprisingly good.

Oh yeah--I wanted to ask you something, since you're the biggest Mulan fangirl I know: have you seen Mulan II, and if so, is it any good?

It was a great show, but unfortunately they don't play it anymore (just the Christmas episode, which is one of the best).

Yes, I have seen Mulan II and I thought it was bad. It was a straight-to-video movie, which always hints at low quality, so I had lower expectations, but still - it was disappointing. If you know someone who has it, it's probably worth watching once to satisfy your curiosity (there are lots of people who liked it), but I wouldn't spend money on it.

I'll forgo the rant about how cartoons were better when we were kids--there are a few gems on TV now (I do enjoy the Fairly Oddparents and Danny Phantom and a couple others), but a lot of them are just kinda dumb *siiiiiiigh*

I know I liked the Hayley Westerna song from it--"Here Beside Me." I think uploaded it on that song meme, actually...but yeah, maybe I'll rent it or something. 'Cause a few people did tell me that it wasn't bad (not as good as the original, though). Thanks!

I like Danny Phantom also, and Fairly Odd Parents is fun, too (Avatar is my fave Nick show right now).

Just to give you a bit more info on Mulan II, there's a lot more of the gang of 3 in it (and less of Mulan). So the Ling fangirls were more pleased than those of us who prefer Shang (and Shan-Yu). :D

Cosmo is looooooove ♥ There's another one I watch sometimes, but I just blanked on what it is...but yeah, Avatar is easily the best thing to come out of Nickelodeon in ages.

Hmmm...I like the Gang of Three, but I also like Mulan and Shang...I might give it a try, still. See for myself, and go from there ^___^

Hmmm...don't think two is enough, is it? Well, if I've averaged one per thirty themes...then there should be three, right? Or am I aiming too low? And why am I even thinking about this when I can't even write a decent smut fic? ^^;;

*shoulder-pats while mocking okay not really while mocking, just while calling you a Lonely Prince and stuff*

Yeah, three or four. Three would be about one out thirty-three, and four would be one out of twenty-five. And practice makes perfect, dammit! You just need to tone down on the over-romanticizing a teensy bit, rly ;_; Just an eensy-weensy bit, that's all. Sex is not the be-all, end-all of a relationship, etc etc etc OKAY, FORCIBLY TURNING OFF LECTURE MODE HERE, PLZ TO IGNORE ME.

I can't help it. I'm a hopeless romantic with absolutely ZERO experience to base anything off. So...I make crap up. I will try, though! At least once...or three or four times...and to think some people actually do all hundred themes as smuts. Brave, brave, talented souls.

>: It's time you learned to share, Tamaki. After all, it's what commoners have to do all the time - they don't have enough corners to have one each for themselves, after all.

XD I used to lurk at that comm hardcore when I was younger. ...As in, early high school-ish. It was how I got my laughs, much of the time. They are brutal there, and have influenced a fair amount of my thoughts re: writing fanfic, but my ideals have drifted from theirs somewhat over the years ^^a ...And I can point you to some very, very scarring reviews they have there. I can never think of chocobos the same way again ;_;
More poking around, or more trying? Either way is good.

*flails* I do not want to share! *puts hand to forehead* My mind is troubled right now...by one who mocks my pain so shamelessly... *clings to corner and weeps*

I might take a little closer of a look...but I'm not sure I want to know what that chocobo thing is about o.O Still, I'm thinking I might try to read more lemons (wherever I can find them), and go from there. Because I owe you a threesome fic, and that's gonna take some RESEARCH.

XD I don't blame you one bit.
...Yeah, gave my two cents re: reading more lemons down there, but if you want recs, I can definitely help you with that :33 Also, with threesomes, I'd say that the place to start would probably be [livejournal.com profile] askerian or [livejournal.com profile] theninjakitty - er, that's if you know Naruto. But you can also look around on [livejournal.com profile] thirtyforthree, see what they've got lemon-wise and fandom-wise. *failed at even starting their theme set, despite signing up for Hakuba/Kaito/Aoko, woez*

I know a little bit about Naruto...might even just go check it out just for the experience or ideas. And I had heard of that comm...must go read. And duuuuuuuude, you should totally write Hakuba/Kaito/Aoko for it! Try, try again, yes!

Jumping into the more fun, smut conversation - [livejournal.com profile] 30_lemons is a great place to read just to get a feel (ooh, bad pun) for how people write sex scenes. Also, check out some stories on the adult fan fiction site, especially in the Avatar section (under Cartoons on that site). Some phenomenally smexy fics there. :D

They've had one for a while =_= They didn't have much of my 'ship the first time I went, though, so I kinda avoided it after. ...That was pre-JetZuko, though, so now I'm not sure whether I want to check or not. Morbid curiosity may win out in the end.

Though yes, definitely echoing the "READ MORE SMUT" comment. It's very helpful to learn what you like or don't like in fics, what's new, what's overused, et cetera. It's how you get to know what to write about.
...I'mma step off this soap box now.

Truth be told, I usually filter out much of what AFF.net has to offer ^^a I mean, they do have a very large selection there, but as with FF.net, the quality varies. I've learned to trust certain authors a certain amount, and then other authors much, much less. ...I also really miss how they had that 'reccommended fics' section for each author. Those I found very helpful for finding the good stuff.

I may go and check out [livejournal.com profile] 30_lemons more, though, as I've only really heard of it before now.
