Came home early. Dancing the knife-edge between feeling like crap and being full-out sick. Throat hurts. Coughing. Headache. Waaaaaaah...bless my coop for sending me home. I feel yucky... D:

Fic-blog opens tomorrow. Fic-dump to accompany. Yay fun.

Going to bed now. Will reply to comments and stuff later.

EDIT: OH MY GOD. SUPERINTENDENT JUST EMAILED ME. WANTS MORE INFORMATION. I'M CALLING HER TONIGHT. MENTIONED POSSIBILITY OF AN INTERVIEW. OH MY GOD.

*runs around in little circles*

Here's something you might want to do.

I made up folders for my interviews. I included a sample lesson plan - pick a really good one and make sure it has all the standards and junk in it - or multiple, for different levels. Also, make copies of any awards you've won, Praxis scores (do you have to take them?), a reference list, copies of any letters of recommendation and another copy of your resume. That type of thing can help you stand out. :)

Deep breathing, Candy! Deep breathing. Also, I hope you not only get a job, but that you keep a bad teacher from continuing theirs/getting one. ...Not that I think all teachers are bad, but man, there are a few rotten eggs out there, and I just don't like it DD:

I dunno if it will work in this situation but what I do in my interviews is that I make sure to ask about things in the long term, that way it seems to the employer that youll be a good investment and they dont have to put up with finding a replacement for you. Ask about school policies with the kids, opportunities for various extra curricular activities that you can help students with etc. Just my two bits :)
