The meetings today weren't too bad. The morning session was all right, but the afternoon ones were sloooooow...got to meet and hang out with some nice people, though. And I now realize that I A) have no idea what I'm doing, and B) have a SHIZLOAD of stuff to do...half of which I'm probably not even aware of. Oh well.

ETA: ZOMG NEW POST FROM LJ!! And impressively enough, we have gotten one apology: I tip my hat to coffeechica, though when I made the original comment, I was more thinking of burr86 and his comments calling everyone in fandom pedos.

I'm happy to see things are starting to happen too--I'm still sort of baffled as to why the pro-anorexia community is still up, though, but it's a start. And actually, it does sound like they might be looking into it because the comm says right on its main page for girls to lie about their ages to set up LJ accounts.

I hope burr86 apologizes too, when he gets back from wherever he conveniently went that has no internet or phones -_-;;

As far as I'm aware, burr86 shouldn't even need to issue an apology: his comment was taken hideously out of context and was in fact mocking those who call fandom "pedos". Though I haven't read the rest of his responses in that thread. 8D;;

I guess I'm of the opinion that if it's "taken out of context" by that many people, then it was either intended as it was taken, or it was worded EXTREMELY poorly. Either way, I don't think he should have been making comments like that (mocking or not), given how touchy this whole thing has been.

Enjoy the linkage! Most people are being relatively reasonable, now that we've gotten some sort of a reply. Just wish it hadn't take days/weeks to get it 8D

Yep, still wondering about the ficcies too.>__> I guess it's quite a bunch less work to look at a picture and choose the y/n option than to read shota-fics, but still... At least they don't seem to delete whole communities because of sporadic shota pics/fics anymore, that was one of the things that upsetted (and frightened) me most while Strikethrough.~__~

My f-list tends to be...very prolific ^^;; And I fail at commenting on seventy-five percent of them, yes.

I don't think I have any fics posted on candyfics that qualify as objectionable...although in one of my major MKR stories there is going to be an allusion to such a thing as part of an OC's development >.> Yikes...but it's still a start! We'll just see where this goes, given that last time they also made with a lot of pretty words, and then turned around and sucker-punched us again.

Me neither, I'm not exactly the shota-loving type anyway. Except for my very first (and by now very embarrassing) fic, where Chibi!Shinichi kissed Chibi!Kaito, but fortunately doesn't go any further than that, and quite a few lemons with 17-years olds, in case they don't want any minor-sex at all...;>__> And - of course - they'd have to learn german to read anything of it!XD

*laugh* I need to clean out the deleted accounts...and maybe a few of the communities I don't post to anymore...but I like having a lot of online friends! It makes me of the happy! 8D

I have seen a couple of really cute fics where, oh, Ran gives Conan a kiss on the forehead and he goes all flustery over it, but that's really as far as it goes for me. Aww...I wanna read your fics, but I don't speak German aside from a couple of words I picked up when I spent a week there last summer... *sadface*

Nope, actually--the fic I mentioned would be for DC/MK. The "objectionable" one is a chapter in a long-running story that's run for waaaaay longer than it should have. Because I'm lazy about updating.

Hopefully things will get better and we can all go back to being happy on El-Jay! But I am setting up accounts and GreatestJournal and InsaneJournal, both as back-ups and to expands my little internet horizons :3

Reading my fl makes me usually ten kinds of happy too except for the one whiny emo-journal I'd LOVE to kick from my fl if only I wouldn't know her in RL.^__^ But with too many people on my fl, I would be afraid not to be able to keep up with the comments anymore, especially in my busy times *sigh*, that's why I prefer keeping a rather small - but mighty - friendslist.♥

I'm mainly writing yaoi (and more and more occasional yuri) for now, and I tend to fall for pairings no one else seems wanting to write, so I don't know whether you'd like it or not.^^; But thanks anyway!:) And learning new languages is fun!:D

Reading my f-list usually makes me happy 8D I don't even TRY to comment on everything--heck, I fail at commenting in general (because half the time I can't even think of anything to say in relation to the post), but the LJ friends list is fun no matter the size! *victory pose*

I haven't written much for same-sex pairings--a few shounen-ai fics here and there, but that's about it. But I don't mind yaoi or yuri 8D And I understand about writing pairings no one else wants to write about--I think I'm one of the very few DC authors who has ever written a Yuusaku/Yukiko fic. But when I did write it, people seemed to like it! And I know a little bit of Spanish, but that's about it ;o;

At present? Most of my stories are DC/MK. But I do have a couple of works-in-progress from other fandoms--one from Cardcaptor Sakura, and one for Magic Knight Rayearth. I worked on the MKR one today, actually, which is nice. But yeah, most of them now are Conan :D

I got the GJ and IJ accounts as back-up in case LJ did not pull their heads out of various uncomfortable places. And now that I've got the accounts...I figure I might as well use them. I'm getting entries tagged and memoried and stuff, and then I figure I'll start poking around and seeing what kind of communities they have over there. Who knows? Maybe I will make some new friends there, too!
