Fic ramblings...

I think I've decided on my goals for this year in terms of ficcage. Can't figure out anything real life to save my soul, but I sure can think of where I'm going in fandom. Yay for having my priorities in order, right?

Ideally, by the time I post my traditional Christmas fic-dump... *pauses and ducks flying bricks* ...I want to accomplish/have accomplished:

- Be at least to the halfway point of fanfic100 (counting the ones that are written but not posted, that's eleven fics left)
- Finish 30_ways (thirteen fics)
- Be halfway done with 30_friends (two fics--don't laugh, inspiration comes and goes on this one)
- Post at least one more for 30_evil_deeds (yeah...hehe...)
- Finish at least ten for 100fandomhell (five more)

So that gives me about three and a half months to write (give or take) around thirty fics. That's about ten a month. So long as my inspiration doesn't decide to dry up, I think that's potentially do-able, right?

And they say I'm crazy for being a double-major in French and Spanish while in Band and have work on the side--oh, and might even go for that History minor.

Yeah.

Then again, people also call me crazy because I have so many fics and have yet to finish any of them.

And since I'm glutton for punishment and figure this might just get my ficcing speed up- do you know of any community that has a daily/weekly prompt or just a huge theme list that you can write any fandom for?

I can't think of any communities off the top of my head, but if you want to join up with something, try looking at 150_comms. It's a pretty comprehensive list of theme comms of various sizes and set-ups. Good luck!

Awesome! I've been directing a lot of people towards that comms community. It's an easy place to find and access theme comms. Glad you found something that'll work for you! What fandom/characters are you writing on?

Fandom-wise probably my current ones of Harry Potter, Kim Possible and One Piece but I figure at least one theme a month will make me delve into other fandoms so there might be some Detective Conan in there as well XD

My secrets are...

A) I have no life.
B) There is literally inspiration in EVERYTHING. I mean it.
C) Friends don't let friends go without plunnies.
D) Write whenever possible--I carry at least a small notebook with me at all times, usually stuffed in my purse. If an idea or something hits, I scribble something down to help me remember it.
E) I have no life.

Those are the basics, I guess ^^;;

In other words, there is no great difference between you and me exept for my lazyness. Inspiration is certainly not what I lack, I have enough plunnies for the rest of my life and though I usually don't use a notebook, I can still remember most of them.

Something else I used to do when I was in the midst of a dry spell was to force myself to sit down at write at least one hundred words per day. It didn't matter if I thought that what I was writing was any good--I had to write a minimum of one hundred words. And it began to add up over a period of days, and lo, I had a story.

Yeah, I've done that once in a while and it worked pretty fine.:) I think it was the beginning of this year when I forced myself to write at least 700 words the day but instead I didn't work that much for university anymore...D: I think I'm going to subscibe to novel_in_90 as soon as I know whether I have the time for that or not, and since my university year starts in two weeks, I think I will find out very soon.^__^b *optimistic thumbs up*

But thanks for the heads up, I think I'll try to write some drabbles tonight.^__^
