Today = mostly good day!

It was cooler again today, so I wore my burgundy suit with the pink shirt--otherwise known as my "I'm a grown-up, now take me seriously" outfit. And I got compliments all over the place on how nice I looked! My ego enjoyed it muchly ~♥ I forgot to wear my favorite necklace, so I kept putting my hand up to my neck to mess with the chain and then going "Whoops!" Plus, there wasn't much humidity today so my hair didn't go frizzy! \o/

We did an interesting activity today in the English class I help with. They had to take their essays, write it out one sentence at a time, and then analyze each sentence. It's only a five-paragraph essay, so it's not as bad as it could be. But I even mentioned to the other teacher that I write in my spare time and I wondered what it would look like if I did such an exercise with one of my stories. I can see it now...sentence fragments as far as the eye can see...eh, but she did also say that you can get away with a lot more of that stuff in fiction writing than in essay writing.

Choir rehearsal went well this morning, and then I had kids in lessons all morning. That one lesson with four of the girls might rank as the most I have laughed in a long time. It was AWESOME. And we talked about our childhoods and Muppets and Fraggles and VeggieTales...it was hard-core win.

Stopped at the post office on my way over to the middle school and mailed a couple of letters, and then had study hall at the MS. I spent the period helping three of the girls with their math assignment, so I consider it a period well spent ^_~

And speaking of periods (best segue ever, right?) I was even thinking that I felt great--usually around this time of the month I feel like crap, but I felt awesome! Well...until I got home. Then I got a headache. But it's going away!

My plan for tonight is to knit like crazy and watch more Muppets. And maybe have something to eat a little later. I think that's a pretty solid idea...and tomorrow is Friday, whee!! Trying to decide if I need to go grocery shopping or if I can survive a few more days without spending the money, or if I should go and do it and have it done for the next couple of weeks.

...man, my real-life posts are becoming even more boring than usual, aren't they?

New on candyfics: Saying It To Your Face for 30_ways. Tomorrow I'm going to post a fic for 30_friends so jeva_chan will put that stick down ^___^


ETA: So apparently I'm being shipped with Jeva. I've never been shipped with anyone before. Ever. In any context. And apparently I'm the top in this relationship ^^;;

What are your feelings on cosplaying Iroh? :Db That's true. It is something to think about, though; there's a definite ego boost when people ask to take your picture and stuff.
