well I get them before they are licensed. :/ because they are super expensive otherwise... though I could get Chinese import, but they come with no dubbs, XD though there are some I've been meaning to by :/

Some series I have weren't licensed when I downloaded them either. Not DC. That's my one that I must watch the new episodes of.

They can be pricey. But not as bad as in Japan. Their DVDs cost something like $50. And that's for a regular disk. The manga brought over is pricey but the anime is a lot cheaper! Which irks me because I buy a nice chunk of manga in a year.

Well Japanese manga is pretty cheap for me :/ only 5 bucks per book (7 depending on how big)

I've been looking around and haven't had much luck locating an anime store in Houston, much less a place to buy Japanese manga. @#$%

I heart manga, too. I've tried to read American comics and, generally, the presentation bothers me (way too wordy or something like that. but in fairness there was a comic I read as a kid (not superhero!) but I will not name it. Xp). I also don't like how they draw the women.
