MY AWESOME DAY OF AWESOME!!

candylandI CAN HAS NEW CLOTHES!!
AND ALSO A NEW LAMP!!
BUT CLOTHES FIRST!!
One day of shopping and hanging out with the parents later, I am plus some new unmentionables (YAY FOR NEW UNDIES!! *has no shame*), three pairs of jeans, two pairs of khakis, a bright red blazer, three skirts, and seven tops. Best part?
Five pairs of pants at Deb = a little over $100
One skirt at Burlington Coat Factory = $7
Two skirts, a blazer, and seven tops at Lane Bryant = $167
Six bras and seven pairs o' undies = $171
So...I have enough new clothes to last me over a week without repeating an outfit or anything...for less than $450. And did I mention that almost ALL of the clothes I got are mix-n-matchable? See, Candy isn't the easiest being in the world to fit. I would describe myself using a certain word that starts with an "f" and ends in "at," but some people might come after me with sharp objects, so we'll just say I'm tough to fit.
Yet I have INSANE luck with sales and clearance racks. Five pairs of pants for a hundred bucks? I'M PROUD OF ME!! Also, I should add that the Lane Bryant purchase originally came to two hundred something...but then she asked if we'd like to apply for a Lane Bryant credit card...and save seventy-five bucks on our purchase (on top of the awesome sale already going on). Needless to say, Mom was like, "Sure! Sign us up!"
So yes, today was an awesome day. We'll ignore the fact that I missed my exit and wound up driving around in a big-ass circle, completely lost, for almost two hours before I finally made it home. Shhh...we're pretending that didn't happen XD
Oh, and the lamp I mentioned? My aunt and uncle moved this summer, and they were cleaning out their house. Well, my mom mentioned to them that I could use some lamps. Unfortunately, they'd gotten rid of most of them...but they had one that they hadn't yet. It's a tall lamp with a little round glass table in the middle of it. AND THEY GAVE IT TO ME!! :D :D :D So now I has a purdy lamp in my living room ^_____^
Tomorrow, I'm going to do a little shopping of my own. I need shoes, a slip to go under that one white skirt, and I could really use some accessories. I really don't have a ton of jewelry--I wear my watch, and then I have a necklace that I wear almost every day. But I could use some actual jewelry to wear with some of these clothes. So I'm at least going to venture out and look for some ideas--don't know if I'll buy anything, but I at least want to look.
Again, I tend to have surprisingly awesome luck with this stuff, despite being a cousin of Bigfoot's ^_~
Plan for tonight is to sit and knit and play Nancy Drew and relax. But I'm very very happy about how today went :D Poke me on chat/text if you want to talk!!
