Go ahead and tell me that I'm crazy...

So I was talking with cherelle_holmes, and she mentioned one of those contests where artists have to lock themselves in a room for twenty-four hours and draw a twenty-four page comic or doujin. Some of you might have heard of them? Well, I got to thinking...

Is there anything like that out there for writers?

And please don't say NaNoWriMo. That's not what I mean XD I mean like a one-day thing, where you write a certain number of words in a twenty-four hour period. If there is, where might I find such a creature? If there isn't...am I the only one who thinks it could be INSANELY fun/challenging?

If you think I'm a crazy person by now, you can go ahead and tell me. I won't think any less of you ^_~ And in case you hadn't noticed, I'm a total nerd for challenges. I guess I like things that make me think or push me.

Except NaNoWriMo. That just hit at a really bad point in my life, I tried to do it at the worst possible time, and while I might be able to face it in a few years, right now I can barely think about it without associating it with my senior year borderline-nervous breakdown D:

So yeah. That's sort of what I'm thinking about as of late...although the challenge for me would be to write just ONE long fic in that period of time. My thing would be more like UPDATE EVERYTHING AND ADD UP THE WORD COUNT, WHEE!! Because...yeah. Lord knows I don't post enough on some of those.

If all goes well, there'll be ficcage up tonight. Probably 30_ways. After that...I dunno. Have enough plunnies bouncing around for fanfic100 to get me to probably fic #52 or #53, maybe even #54. I'd have to count. Oh, and I now have TWO PLUNNIES EACH for Ouran and Princess Tutu. TWO! COUNT THEM, TWO! *headdesk* Where are these ideas coming from, for corn's sake? Oh well. Figure one for each series will find itself hurtling into 100fandomhell :D

And in other news, I am so tired and stressed and worried about everything under the sun that I think I might be making myself sick. I seriously thought I was going to throw up during choir last period. And then having a little showdown with a couple of my students? Didn't help. Really didn't help...god, I seriously feel sick... *crawls into the nearest lap and mewls for pettings and comfort*

I made it to about 5000, I think. And then I had a total breakdown. So...yeah. Never finished. Was a good idea, but I think overall I'm better suited to writing fanfiction *pokes fingers together*

I won't believe you until I see it! D:!!! And there are plenty of art communities out there! It's just a matter of finding one! *pokes* And the reason I'm making this post here is sort of to feel out whether or not anyone would be interested in taking the challenge v_v;;

*cuddles and pets* Well, I'll be here for another hour and a half or so--and then I have to go to the middle school. But I'll be here until then, and then I'll be back later!

o__ô well, 50,000 IS long... but you tryed, so respect! I would never dare to do such a long challange!! O__o ( i mean if i could write XD or if there would be a draw-con out there!)

I'm not saying that 50K isn't long. But it's do-able. People have done it--ashleymouse made it last year. But this year...I think I'd rather just focus on my fics. I have some rather lofty fanfiction goals, so I'll stay the course and work on those instead.

I'm sure there are writers out there who would do it. But it's getting the word out that can be really, really tricky ^^;; And I demand to see these stories! *hires Kaitou Kid to break into your PC and steal them*

I'm here for another forty-five minutes to an hour-ish, and then I've gotta go. Right after the middle school gets out, I'm breezing back to the high school to do a couple of lessons--I'll check on here in between all of that :D And after the lessons, I should be ready to go home and annoy you properly *ruffles your hair* I hope nothing's seriously wrong... D:

*nods* Working with time-limits is kinda tricky o__O but it's doable! It's way more harder when your red. is sitting in your neck hehe - thats the good thing about the challange, you'll do it for yourself!! For your ego! u__u ...It is ONE little tiny ficcy! *sits aoko on her pc and gives her a moop of doom* ...*AND the evil fish-panties of doom* And i said NO XD

I'm agreeing with you! *thinks about bonking, but is amused by the Cherry-chan around my neck* D'aww... *scritches behind your ears* I will keep focusing on my fics. After all, I want to finish 30_ways and 30_friends by my Christmas Eve fic-dump! :D

I sort of like time limits in some ways--especially with something like this. I don't know if it would be viable to have a prompt or not, or to just let everyone go. But it could be a lot of fun! :D And plus, if it went over well, I'd have a nice long honking fic to post at the end of the day! \o/ Well, depending on the size of the challenge, of course...

*distracts Aoko by telling her that Kaito is waiting for her in the closet, wearing nothing but a smile*

Ah, just one of those days, huh? I'm having a couple of freak-out sessions myself, just because of various things. But it'll be all right. We'll make it! And actually, I would hang out here a little bit longer, but I need to swing by the post office on my way to the middle school ^_^
