Back at work~
Nov. 26th, 2007 11:21 amSo this morning I woke up feeling really awesome. I thought to myself, "Ah, that was a great sleep. I feel awesome! Great start to coming back to work!" And I stretched my arms over my head and rolled over...
And stared.
Teachers are supposed to be at school at a quarter to eight.
My clock read eight-oh-five.
...panicpanicpanicmustfindphoneandcallinohcrapthisisnotgoodaaaaaaaaah!!
I called the secretary and told her I was going to be late and rushed to get ready. I walked into my classroom at a quarter to nine on the nose. Forty minutes to shower, fix my hair, get dressed, gather my things, and drive to school *thumbs up*
I need to leave for the middle school a little early today so I can first stop at the post office, and then get there and look through the library for some music. We have ten rehearsals until the holiday concert, and I have one song picked for them. Need at least two, preferably three. Stuff we can learn in a hurry *headdesks*
After school I'm going to take a quick drive over to the bank and make a deposit. While I was home this weekend I closed out my accounts at my old bank, so I have the money from that and then I got gas money from the school (finally!)--and then Friday is payday, which is awesome. So this week I need to pay rent and get that first student loan payment in the mail.
My goals for this week: finish
fanfic100 story and the fic for either
30_ways OR
30_friends (at least), wrap presents, write cards, get those suckers in the mail. It's a month until Christmas. Better get a move on those.
...I'm hungry *goes back to work*
New on
candyfics: A Meeting of Traditions for Avatar: The Last Airbender. I just couldn't help myself v_v
ETA: So I was looking through the music library here at the high school, and I found one of my favorite Christmas pieces, "Il Est Ne, Le Divin Enfant" in two parts. And I played through it--the parts are not hard. And so I got to thinking that I could have them do the verses in English and just do the chorus in French :D Bet I get complaints about it, but I don't care! \o/

Date: 2007-11-27 02:00 pm (UTC)I've sung in Latin, Italian, German, French, Swahili, Aborigine, Zulu, Russian...maybe a couple of others. Can't remember ^^;; French is weird on the pronunciation when one is used to English, but once you get it, it's not too hard :)
I've done that one! I loves it! *glomps*
