Did not want to get out of bed today. Reeeeeeeeally didn't x_x I feel kinda sick. I've dry-heaved a couple of times, and I'm about ready to go home sick. But I've gotta get these grades in, even though my computer is STILL not working...

Is it sad that it's forty-four degrees here right now, and I have my classroom windows OPEN to get the warmer air from outside into the room? And yes, forty-four IS comparatively warmer than it's been for the last week or so. I think the day we came back was...what, five degrees before the wind-chill kicked in? COOOOOOOLD! This is why I tease when some of you say it's fifty degrees and you're shivering XD But we should have someone out to fix the heater tomorrow, which is yayness ^^

Picked a couple of songs for the choirs. High schoolers are doing "Three Spanish Ballads" (except we're only doing two of them because I HATE the third one) and I think we're going to do "Windmills of your Mind," just because it's cracky and I love cracky things :D And then for middle school...I'm thinking "Show Me the Way" by Styx and I think we're going to do "The Not-So-Boring Minuette." It lets them mock classical music. I think they'll get into it ^^

So...I'm watching Detective Conan, episode 263--it's the two-hour special with "Heiji's Stand-Alone Case" and the Naniwa murders. And it really drove home for me exactly how much of a stalker Kazuha is. Heiji is in the bathroom--in a bathroom STALL--calling Kudo. He hangs up...and a bucket hits him in the head. Kazuha has climbed up and is LOOKING DOWN AT HIM OVER THE TOP OF THE STALL WALL.

...what if he wasn't just making a phone call? Seriously. Is she ready to see that? (And before anyone brings it up, there is a difference between such things when one is very little and when one is seventeen and hornyExcept not.

I can't help that I get 80 degree weather in the winter sometimes, okay?! DX

...what if he wasn't just making a phone call?

I'm sure she listened in on his phone conversation until the end because she wanted to make sure it was a phone call and not him talking to himself or something. So she knew he wasn't doing anything else but hiding away to call Kudo on the phone.

Also. Grandpa Heizo. *nodnod*

*hugs* I hope you feel better soon! D:

We Americans shun the world's metric system and Celius degrees. |D

But srsly, I think they're trying to get us into the metric system all slow like--they've tried it before back in the 70s, but way too quickly. Now they're just doing stuff like putting Mountain Dews in 500mL bottles rather than... whatever amount of ounces it was--wasn't it 21oz? I can't remember--my mind's now stuck with 500mL/bottle. DX

They just need to make the switch all at once, if they are going to. A sink or swim manuever. People would be forced to adapt.

Maybe, maybe not. I know that the attempt in the 70s didn't work because they had both the metric and the other way of doing it. Who knows? *is kind of brainded atm*

Metric is just easier because everything is messured in 10s rather than in 12s like it used to. Not to say that everything has been changed to it even here we still have height messured in feet and inches.

God the world is so confusing sometimes XD

damn romans making the modern world. lols XD

I knew we should have followed the Greeks! They were so much smarter than we are~

Then again, not really. Romans based themselves off the Greeks, didn't they?

... I am so sleep deprived.

And yes, I agree that metric is so much easier to deal with. The only thing is that I know I, at least will not be able to tell how to measure a meter (almost spelled it metre--BOTH ARE CORRECT) by eye. I'd end up using feet or yards or something.

nuhuh metre is correct unless your in america where meter is correct, same as sabre being saber in america. Thats why I don't use spell checker often because it makes CORRECT words americanised and stuff... xD

not to say that the american version is bad, makes some words much easier to spell and some spelling changes make sense.

but ya'know although meter/metre I tend to only use re for distance and the other for the messureing device. I'm weird.

and I prefer it spelt sabre xD

That's probably how it's actually supposed to be but meh. Us Americans can be a lazy lot.

Also, I do know this! I am a foreign language major and thus have to deal with different things like that--also, I read and watch some British books and TV shows. Ahahaha. Doctor Who~ So yeah. I do know some of this.

And you know, it's because of the -re vs -er endings why I couldn't spell massacre correctly for the longest of times...

And I agree, sabre looks cooler than saber. :/

I remember hearing in elemetary school that we were going to switch and that was 17-18 yrs ago. If some things are to be done, they need to be done completely and at once. I think this is one of those things.

Uh. I haven't heard of them trying to force us to go to metric... well, ever. My parents told me about how in the 70s, they used to have the metric with the other system and the metric was ignored so much that they just got rid of it. *shrugs* I dunno.

But I guess you're right. Still, people will continue to use the old way of measuring things no matter what happens.

I was just saying, if we want to change, doing it all at once would probably be best.

People like to use the systems they grew up with, so if it was all changed at once, the younger people would be the ones to use it.

I think thats how they changed it hear, other than the really old people who go 0-o over it at first, the young adults adjust and the kids just get the hang of it faster.

I think things like tempurature havn't changed because people like the big numbers xD I mean, would you rather be told it's going to be 31, or 100 and something?
