Okay, let's get the negative out the way--things that are making me not-so-happy at this particular moment in time. There aren't too many...
Being sick: My sinuses are getting better. My lungs are not. I can't seem to shake this damn cough. That's usually how it goes, though. Wish cough syrup didn't taste so nasty >P At least I found cough drops that are tasty!
Needing to do laundry: As some of you know, this is my all-time LEAST favorite chore. Which is dumb, because it's probably the least involved chore I have. Drop it in the washer. Walk away. Come back in half an hour to put in dryer. Walk away. Come back in an hour-ish. Fold. Why do I hate it so much? It doesn't really involve actual work! Meh...might just do a load to get me through to Saturday, and then do the rest of it this weekend.
MUD: The snow is melting. YAY! Most of the parking lots I frequent on a daily basis (read: work and apartment) are not paved. BOO. There is mud everywhere, and it's...sort of nasty. The soles of my shoes are covered with the stuff. Yuuuuuuuck~
And now the things that make the Candy HAPPY \o/
MY STUDENTS: We're working on some awesome new music. I think I scared the crap out of my middle schoolers today when I handed them the Jersey Boys medley. I was told that some of the other teachers actually heard the cry of "IT'S THIRTY-ONE PAGES LONG, MISS S! ARE YOU CRAZY?" all over the school *laugh* I think they'll like it once they get past the fact that it is, in fact, a bit longer than what we've done in the past. And we started "Inscription of Hope" today, which I think a lot of them already like \o/ I'll have to post the story behind that piece sometime, for anyone who doesn't know it. It's so beautiful *gg*
MY APARTMENT: Because I'm here and relaxing and my bed is really comfy and my couch is ugly but totally nap-worthy and my kitchen is still all nice and clean. This is a record for me, just so y'all know. Housekeeping has NEVER been my strength. Hope the cleaning bug bites again soon so I can get my living room vacuumed...
GIRL SCOUT COOKIES: CANDY CAN HAS HER YEARLY DOSE OF THIN MINTS! *OM NOM NOM* When I was ordering them, I was craving peanut butter. So I ordered a box of peanut butter patties as well :3
FOOD: Which I will go in search of as soon as I post this entry.
MY ICON: Just...love ~♥♥♥
FRIENDS: Who are awesomely awesome all around and keep me entertained with goofy text messages during the day \o/
KNITTING: Almost done with this present for my sister.
GIRL SCOUT COOKIES: Again. Because the awesome is just so...awesome!
FICCAGE: Expect postings tonight--at least one, possibly two.
And now the things that make the Candy jealous...
MY PARENTS GOT A FREAKIN' WII!! *pouts in the corner* I want one...but this means I can get them games for gift-giving holidays now. I've got a couple of ideas--realize that my parents are Ye Olde Farts (Dad is sixty, and Mom is mid-fifties), so shooters and stuff are out. I sort of want to get them Legend of Zelda at some point...but that might not be a good idea, since they're not hard-core gamers. Puzzle and trivia games are always sure bets, though. Or Mario, since that's a classic! I'm really considering getting them one of the Mario Party games. They can play together, and I think the little games would be fun for them.
I also need to get ahold of my sister and figure out plans for next weekend. Since I only have a three-day break for Easter weekend, it's not worth it to drive four hours to visit the parents when I'll barely get to spend any time there. So on Easter Saturday we're going to meet...probably in Des Moines. My sister's going to be coming with, so Mom said we should make plans. There's a LOT of stuff in Des Moines--I was thinking the Botanical Center sounded kind of cool, or one of the museums or something. It's just nice to spend time with the family.
All right, I think I will end this long-winded post and head off in search of foods. I'm in the mood to watch a musical tonight. Just a matter of whether it's Phantom or Producers or something animated. And I will post ficcies and knit and relax and life will be a happy, happy place!
ETA: Oh, and the people have spoken--MACE FULLER is the worst dub name of all timefrom the options given by two-to-one. Thanks for voting, guys! The results were fun!

Date: 2008-03-13 02:26 am (UTC)I don't think "Mace Fuller" is the worst. Not that it is great.

Date: 2008-03-13 04:23 am (UTC)It's certainly not the worst. But...if it weren't for the potential pr0n-ish humor possibilities, it might not be that redeemable to me XD

Date: 2008-03-13 04:28 am (UTC)Like I said earlier about Aoko's mother to Aoko's father, "Is that a can of mace in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?" I'd like to add. "I'm sorry, that's the same thing." That calls for some bad pr0n. Using the English names.
