Still working my way through drabble requests (which are still open). Have the basis of two more fandoms for
100fandomhell. Am relatively happy about this :D
I did not get much sleep last night. Might go pass out a bit early tonight, with or without getting fics posted. Scribbled out some nice ideas earlier. I'm on a roll as of late! Totally gonna make my goal of thirty-five fandoms by my one-year! \o/
...I WANT THE MUD TO GO AWAY! I decided to be fancy today and wear my awesome knee-high high-heeled blackhooker boots (I have a student who calls them that, every time I wear them), and when I'm stepping around the corner onto the sidewalk, I sink almost three inches into the mud. Grabbing paper towels to scrubs the mud off my boots was not how I envisioned the first few minutes of my morning at work.
In case you hadn't heard, LJ has decided to further bury itself by acting all surprised that people were upset about the fact that they tried to sneak that announcement past everyone, and then insinuating that the uproar over last night's "hidden" bombshell about Basic Accounts being eradicated was a question of tone *facepalm* That's almost as funny as the guy who made the actual announcement comment whining that when someone posted a comment explaining why they were upset, it was a "personal attack" and that things were "getting brutal." Obviously, someone didn't do their research.
At the moment, I don't see how this will affect me too much. I've got this journal, and I've got
candyfics, and right now that's all I need. But the overwhelming amount of idiocy in the SUP statements just blows my mind. Apparently nothing was learned from the explosions of last summer, despite assertions that they had.
...did someone send me a pic-text on my cell? It's a number I don't recognize, from the same area code as where my parents live and my university is. The subject line is "Look" and that's it. No ID. I don't know who sent it--don't have the number programmed in, and I'm not going to open it without knowing who it's from. If no one claims it, I'll be deleting it without looking. Call me paranoid. Not trying to be weird or anything--just want to know who it's from.
Oh, and I finished listening to the LibriVox recording of The Hound of the Baskerville, which I greatly enjoyed, and I am four chapters away from being done with The Sign of the Four, which I am also enjoying. It took me a bit longer to get into Sherlock Holmes than it did Arsene Lupin, but I am growing rather fond of them.
I think that's everything for now ^____^
