I just registered my Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass game on the Nintendo website. So hopefully in some period of time in the near future, I should become the proud owner of a pretty feather stylus! I might have to start registering my games more often *laugh*

We're getting ready for solo/ensemble competition at the HS, so I had a TON of girls in for lessons today. Had one staring into a mirror to work on dropping her jaw more, and the other laying on her back on the floor with a book on her stomach to work on breath control. We've still got a couple of weeks to get everyone ready and singing pretty.

There is something to be said for spending the evening relaxing. Dinner was in the crock-pot, so no real work involved there. Just served myself up a bowl o' stew. And I have spent much of my evening reclining here in my slippers, denim capris, and the dress shirt I wore for work today. Ah, comfy~

Also got another load of laundry in. The dryer should be done in...maybe another half an hour-ish? Should get me through the end of the week. I'll do more on Friday. Got a bunch of stuff I need to do on Friday, actually--I need to go get registered to vote here and get my car registration moved to the county I live in now. And possibly renew my driver's license while I'm there. I'd rather like to have my horizontal license to show that I'm over twenty-one ^^;; But that could also wait until October.

[livejournal.com profile] illeistic was kind enough to hook me up with the X/1999 manga. I will be reading it shortly...after I finish Hunter x Hunter. I started reading that on a whim. I'm currently on chapter thirty-seven...out of two-hundred and seventy-three. Might take me a while to get through it all XDD They just completed the Hunter test. I might be hooked ^^;;

Still have about a thousand things I need to watch. Note to self: do some of that this weekend!

Could post a fic, too...meh, I'll do it tomorrow ^__^ *goes back to reading*

I'm glad I signed up--can't wait to get that stylus :D I guess I'll have to register more of my games as I get them, and see if anything else pops up :3

You will have to tell me how the Managa for X is. I've seen the show(need to watch the movie) and it was very neat in a "What the CRAP did I just watch" sort of way.

I will indeed! I think I'll finish Hunter x Hunter first, as I'm rather hooked on it. That might take me a week or so--I read about forty chapters of that last night out of two-hundred and seventy-three ^^;;

But yes, once I'm done with HxH, I will probably dive into X/1999, and I will let you know how it is z(^o^)b

X is great!
...except for the fact that Clamp is stuck at tome 18 for years now and we'll possibly never know whether they will finish those last 4 tomes or not.~_~

I've heard a lot of that about CLAMP--how they seem to have put a bunch of series on hold to focus on (as I hear it) Tsubasa. To a certain extent I can understand--it's rather like a fanfic writer having to decide which WIP to work on, but still... ^^;; Oh well, I'll read the first nineteen volumes and see what I think \o/

I don't know much about the reasons because I'm not involved in any Clamp fandom anymore, but the last thing I heard about X was that they had a serious kind of fight with their publisher? And that fans wouldn't know whether Clamp would either get along with that publisher again in order to finish X or whether they had to publish the end on their own or something along those lines. In other words, no one knows anything, not even if there will ever be an end of X in the mangaverse. *sigh*
But as I said before, I haven't been up to date for a long while now, maybe there are better news I don't know yet.^^;

The only CLAMP fandom I still have direct ties to is Magic Knight Rayearth because I have an ongoing epic fic in progress. Otherwise, I've drifted away from their series. But a few friends have recommended Holic to me, and someone else showed me where to read Tsubasa, so I might start reading, just to see if it catches my attention ya know?

...I hope there is an ending D: That would suck if there wasn't... *vows research*

Read the manga, then watch the anime.^__^ Not the movie, because they tried to squash 22 manga volumes in about 90 minutes (and failed, any surprise there?), but the anime series has a nice ending imho. I know hardcore fans who hate the anime, but then I'm not a hardcore fan either (or anymore)... *g*

I passed my clamp stage a long while ago, Wish was my very first manga I liked, then Magic Knight Rayearth followed by several others like X, Clover, you name it.:D There are so many series I don't know yet though, but then I'm not sure I'd like them as much as I did earlier when I liked shôjo manga better.:)

*nods* Gotcha. I will look into that.

I started the way a lot of people did--Sailor Moon, Pokemon, DB/Z, etc.--and then after Furuba (my first "real" anime), I discovered CCS, MKR, etc. I do sometimes wonder if I would still be as in love with those series if I were to pick them up now.

They did do a one-shot volume called The Legend of Chun Hyang, I think is how it's spelled. That's absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I wish they'd do more of that--such a great set-up with some really neat characters ~♥

I watched a lot of anime without knowing that they were japanese (or I didn't care), but I guess that was even a few years before Sailor Moon, in other words Heidi, Maya the Bee, Lady Oscar and such. I've never been into Sailor Moon because when they aired it in Germany, at first I think I didn't have the right cable tv or I was still at school when they aired it, so I was totally oblivious who so many younger girls in my school orchestra were mimicking at that time!XD
First manga I held in my innocent hands was Bastard, where the first scene was all about how to undress a chained up girl in the most creative way possible (answer: with a gigantic amoeba that would eat only her clothes away O_o). I was not impressed. That's why it took me that long to get into manga, I read Wish no earlier than when I was twenty.^^;

Never heard of that one before, but I read another one with a Snow Lady and other legends...? *scratches her head*

X is really good! I've seen the movie, but a lot of things are really brushed over in it....and certain characters are less crazy than in the manga.

Actually, I think X was put hiatus due to some events that occurred at the time of its publication, which CLAMP said in X was a sign of the end of the world....If you like X/1999, you should read Tokyo Babylon as well, which stars two characters from X CLAMP and their crossovers

I admit that I've heard some mixed reviews about the movie/anime, but the manga tends to get positive reviews save for the fact that it's not finished XD I'm looking forward to giving it a read, and I'm keeping my eyes open for Tokyo Babylon as well. We shall see what happens :D

Well, after I finish Hunter x Hunter. That might own me for a while.
