Post the rules:
1. Each blogger starts with ten random facts/ habits about themselves.
2. Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their ten things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose ten people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.
1. I'm sure I fall into a massive minority here, but if I eat a turkey sandwich, I do not want mayo on it. The only time I get mayo on my turkey sandwich is when I get one from Subway. Ninety-five percent of the time, I slather mine with mustard.
2. I saw it when it first came on TV when I was in sixth grade. Now, ten-ish years later, when I am home and not busy, I will still plunk down and happily watch Blue's Clues.
3. I do not drink milk. I can occasionally stomach chocolate milk, but never white milk. Blech!
4. My favorite book of all time is The Giver.
5. The first song to ever make me cry was Reba's "The Greatest Man I Never Knew." The first anime to make me cry was Fushigi Yuugi. Don't know why, but the episodes with Hotohori just nailed me.
6. I hate tomatoes. Absolutely cannot stomach the things. I do not eat spaghetti sauce. If there is too much sauce on my pizza, I have trouble eating it. I honestly don't even like ketchup that much, and really don't use the stuff that often. Which is at odds with my sister, for whom ketchup is a food group.
7. When that whole thing about
thamiris's LJ being plagiarized, I really started thinking. And it makes me wonder what would happen to my little corner of El-Jay if I died. I know it's silly, but it's still something that's niggling around in the back of my mind.
8. I have a really weird hang-up about watching new things. It's the most bizarre thing. I love watching new things, but at the same time--for lack of a better phrase--it takes me a while to work up the nerve to sit down and start it. Movies, anime, TV shows...you name it. I don't know why.
9. I finally read Bridge to Terabithia about three weeks ago, having never read it or seen the movie. One of the other teachers lent me a copy. I read it in two hours. And I cried, the first time I've ever cried at a book.
10. I am terrified, deep down, that I'm going to fail in life and that I will go nowhere.
I tag...I dunno. Anyone who wants to do this XD
I can't WAIT for
summerwrite to start! I'm really determined to try and beat this challenge. I know I can do it. And if I do, the result will actually be taking a load off my plate in terms of unfinished projects. Just gotta stick with it and be tough! And have people poke me. Oh, and there is actually a Yahoo group where you try to write ten thousand words...in five hours. That's thirty-four words a minute, non-stop. Anyone else think that sounds like fun insanity?
There should hopefully be some ficcage up later. I've got a few things done that I want to post before I dive into
summerwrite. We'll see if I can get it typed up and everything in time.

...Candyland, you've not a single bit of taste, but the fact that you acknowledge it could be seen as a first step toward salvation.
(you should reach the last case of Trials&Tribulations to get the Worthy's private joke...and throws tomato at me. Xp XD)

You're not in the minority, here...or we're in the same minority, you and me. ^^;

Date: 2008-05-03 04:46 am (UTC)Never eaten a turkey sandwhich before, or turkey for that matter, but I do like mayo. As for mustard, I can't remember when was the last time I had it . . . ehehe.
3. I do not drink milk. I can occasionally stomach chocolate milk, but never white milk. Blech!
I like milk--white, chocolate, melon, strawberry, you name it! I usually drink it every breakfast, especially the white one (sometimes chocolate). Drink it cold, and I swear it's the same refreshing feeling I get whenever I drink water.
4. My favorite book of all time isThe Giver.
I've never heard of that book, what's it about?
5. The first song to ever make me cry was Reba's "The Greatest Man I Never Knew." The first anime to make me cry was Fushigi Yuugi. Don't know why, but the episodes with Hotohori just nailed me.
I don't think I've heard the song before. . . . Maybe if I would listen to it, that'd be the first song to make me cry, too! As for those episodes with Hotohori, I was as callous as hell. (Kidding!)
Hehe, the tomato's probably one of the few vegetables I could eat without using water to swallow it. *hates vegetables* And I love spaghetti sauce! I eat meals with tomato sauce almost everyday . . . ehehe. Well, if you don't like tomato ketchup, maybe you could try banana?
7. When that whole thing about
Me too! *huggles* I've sometimes wondered if my LJ would still exist years after I die.
9. I finally read Bridge to Terabithia about three weeks ago, having never read it or seen the movie. One of the other teachers lent me a copy. I read it in two hours. And I cried, the first time I've ever cried at a book.
I've never cried at a book. Ever. I've cried lots of times at fanfics but never books. This must be a very good one, then.
10. I am terrified, deep down, that I'm going to fail in life and that I will go nowhere.
Same here. Thanks for letting me unload last time. It means a lot to me. *hugs*
Oooh, what's the name of that group? Not that I'm crazy or anything--I mean, it could take me forevah just to write a silly little drabble since I'm such an editing freak--but I'm still curious. XD
By the way, you misspelled my username. Just saying.

Date: 2008-05-06 03:04 pm (UTC)You people who drink milk! xP Blech! Nasty stuff! Nasty! ...melon-flavored?
The Giver (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Giver) is one of the most beautiful books I've ever read. EVER. It really opens your eyes and makes you think. I've realized that people who shun young adult literature as being "too childish" don't know what they're missing. That also applies to Bridge to Terabithia.

Thanks! I am enjoying it a great deal--I've broken ten thousand words, and I'm still going pretty strong! My main focus/goal is finishing at least that one Magic Knight Rayearth fic. But I'm supplementing it with one-shots and other things, especially to keep myself from getting bored ^^;;
Thanks!
No...I haven't been as social as usual lately :S
