Mother's Day, fandom stuff, and summerwrite~

Went to the store yesterday and got a Mother's Day gift and card for the Mommy. Since she and Dad got a Wii, she said that games for it might be a fun present. So I went with the old standard and got them Super Mario Galaxy. Mario is good for everyone, yes? :D *quietly vows to get them into Legend of Zelda one way or the other* And the card I got her is pretty appropriate, too. I don't have it here with me, but it's something like:

Outside: Happy Mother's Day to a mom who deserves to be called Mother of the Year"...
Inside: ...from her kid, who deserves to be called any number of things. (But mostly grateful.)

A throwback to all those conversations that included the phrase, "I love you, BUT..."

Sometime in the next couple of weeks, I'm going to be starting a fic/art exchange over on professorlayton. We have so little for fanworks there...need more! So hopefully this will help--quite a few people said they'd be interested. I'm kind of excited about it! It should be interesting to see what pops up.

By the way--does ANYONE know how to request a category on ff-dot-net?

And ickaimp is a prat XD She rec'd this series called Daughter of Twenty Faces (i.e. Nijuu Mensou no Musume). An orphaned girl is "stolen" from her greedy aunt and uncle by the infamous thief Twenty Faces, and now she's running around with his merry band o' thieves, helping and learning how to be EVIL. And stuff :D

Only three episodes are out subbed. I've watched all three. As of the evil!Chiko moment at the end of the third episode, I am completely hooked and wish for more! I would definitely recommend it--especially to DC/MK fans. *hunkers down to wait for next sub*

Regarding summerwrite--I am a stone's throw away from 16,000 words. One week in, and I'm over ten percent done. I'm pretty pleased with myself :D Just gotta keep it up! \o/ Going into week two. Would not mind getting past thirty thousand words by this time next week...and I've been keeping my archive post pretty up-to-date from day to day ^____^

Long ago I used to request categories. A couple got accepted. (I am proud to say I got them to get the DuckTales category up!) But since they've changed the way their support stuff works, I'm stymied. All I know to do is maybe email their support addy, and put New Category Request in the subject line. I need to email them and tell them about putting Angeal Hewley and Genesis Rhapsodos in the FF7 characters database....

And that sounds like an awesome card. ^^

That's a good idea...I emailed to ask how we request a new category. Maybe just email and request a category? They're really not very clear about it...

Yeah, email them about it (including all the pertinent information, of course). That's how I got the Tales of the Abyss category finally put in.
