candy__chan CAN HAS NEW LAYOUT!
Something less pink, and therefore NOT CUTE PLZKTHX. We'll leave the pink to Miles Edgeworth. He makes magenta look manly *laugh* Just kidding--I actually think it's awesome when guys wear pink. Had one student tell me it wasn't right, and I informed him that my father was in the Marine Corp for twenty years and owns a pink shirt. So there, neener neener~ *clings to current fandom obsession*
Also,kaitodoushi is pretty much amazing. Behold, my icon! It's actually a reference to this Phoenix Wrong video at 3:51~ I commented that it deserved to be iconed. AND SHE DID! *worships* ...and also watch the little snippet at 5:30, just because it'll get stuck in your head *laugh*
Got called into work yesterday--which is fine. See, sometimes when they need someone to cover a shift, or someone needs some hours, they toss them back into our department. This is all well and good...except we then have someone working for us for one shift who doesn't know how to do anything, and so we have to essentially train them for one night. The reason I was asked to come in is because BOTH of the people scheduled fell into this "temporary" category. So in I went!
I manned the Italian department, simply because I knew how to do it all and we needed stuff out there. Then we got SWAMPED. HUGE FOOKIN' RUSH. I think some sports team was having practice at the high school, and about ten big strong strapping young men showed up for the all-you-can eat at the same time. Yeah XD
But we handled that well enough, and did a pretty good business. Certainly made the evening go by faster! So then I went back to my pizza making--though this is the first time I've ever had to tell a customer to please not come back into our department, I will bring the pizza out to you 0.0 And as I was going about it, I noticed that the other two people were standing around...chatting.
And it got better--a customer came up. One of the other girls walked straight towards him, looking right at him...and I kid you not, at the last second she veered off to say something to the cook. HELLO? DO YOUR JOB, PLEASE?
In short, it seemed like I was the only one working for the vast majority of the evening. Even when we were starting to close up, the one girl kept stopping to talk to every other employee who walked by. And then she had the nerve to give me a dirty look when I finally said, "Can we please focus? I'd really like to go home."
The other lady (an older woman) turned out to be okay, though. When we were closing, I was doing dishes, and she kept coming back and asking, "What do I do next?" So I'd say, "This needs to be done, and this." And she'd scamper off to do this and this before asking for the next thing on the list.
So yeah. By the end of the night, I was quite brusque ~_~;; Just kind of annoyed that I'm working my butt off to get stuff done, and they're standing around giggling about other people who work there *sigh*
Okay. End ranty now!
Tonight should be fun, though!kaitodoushi and bishonen_girl and I, we gots big plans! We're going out to dinner (Pizza Ranch chicken is of the yummy!), and then Rach wants to stop at GameStop to see if they have Phoenix Wright (YES! YES! SUCCUMB TO THE LAWYERS!), and then we're going to a movie. We're planning on Wall-E, but Bug says that it could very well sell out, so we have Get Smart set as our back-up ^___^
We are truly wild and crazy women, don'tcha know *koff*

summerwrite. And...err...HOW IN BLAZES DO I POST THAT MUCH?? And yet I have not finished a single bloody project. RAWR, I SAY. Oh well. There's still two months and sixty thousand words left!

Complete with dirty looks, because apparently wanting to get things done and go the hell home is wrong and frowned upon in today's society. :|

He'd see me coming in for my shift, and by the time I got to the department door, he'd have his apron off and be halfway out. And then I'd walk in, and the pizza wrapper wouldn't even be plugged in--he didn't even PRETEND to do anything!
