To all of you who have accused me of being cute, sweet, and any number of similar adjectives...

OBJECTION!

*music stops*

The defense would like to present conclusive evidence that Candyland is, in fact, a rather vindictive bitch, complete with cackling and rubbing together of hands, when the situation calls for it.

Here's the set-up, first--there's a communal sink area, where we all do our dishes. When I say we, I'm referring to Chinese/Italian (my department) and Kitchen (the other department who shares our space). It has the bit honkin' dishwasher and the set of four sinks (disposal, soak, rinse, sanitize). There's also a smaller sink on our side, which is ours. We use it to wash out the rice cooker, thaw out meat, etc. Now, the rule is that whoever uses the sinks last (i.e. US) wipes them down. A reasonable rule, right? Ehehe...

There are three main people from kitchen who do dishes: Robert, Matt, and Bobby. Robert and Matt both do a pretty good job of cleaning up after themselves and getting their stuff out of the bottom of the sink. Robert even frequently leaves a towel out for me to use when I wipe down the sink after we're done doing our dishes. Bobby, on the other hand, tends to leave a really big mess. To the extent that I will wait twenty minutes for the sink to drain because there's so much crap clogged in the drain.

Well, tonight Bobby was doing dishes, and there was a good inch-thick layer of food on the bottom of the sink. So I took Chong's advice (she's our cook) and did all of our dishes in our little sink. Grabbed some soap and a scratchy-pad and did it all right there. Interestingly, it actually took me less time to do it there. The only time I went to their sink was to grab the soap nozzle and fill up our mop bucket so I could do the floors.

Every time I walked back there, I kept looking at that sink. The stuff was still in there. And I started to wonder if they thought we were going to do it. That thought turned out to be correct, not that I was terribly surprised.

When I went back to dump our mop bucket in our little sink, Karen (one of the workers in the Kitchen that night) looked down into the sink and looked at me. The exchange went something like this...

KAREN: You're going to clean this out, right? *is turning to walk back to the Kitchen*
ME: No.
KAREN: *stops and gapes at me* No?
ME: We didn't use the sink. I did all of our dishes here. *points to small sink*
KAREN: *disbelief* You didn't...use it?
ME: Nope. And since we didn't use it, we're not cleaning it out.

I could hear her swearing as she walked away. It made me feel strangely happy. I immediately rushed to tell my co-worker about it. He was greatly amused about it, and we were out of there before the Kitchen folks were.

I personally think that Bobby leaves that mess because he doesn't think he'll have to clean it up. I sincerely hope that he enjoyed scooping that mess out of there tonight, since I'm sure Karen made him do it. The other reason we've taken to using our own little sink is because the morning staff from Kitchen like to bitch us out if there's anything left on the sink. So if we're not using the sink, we can't be blamed for the mess.

The defense rests, Your Honor. Candyland is hereby pronounced VINDICTIVE *confetti'd*

[livejournal.com profile] kaitodoushi and I had an awesome gaming session on Apollo Justice, and are almost done with the third case. We have an entire list of canon-based evidence that Klavier Gavin is gay, too. It'll be posted when we finish the game and our list is complete.

AND I WENT CLOTHES SHOPPING! :D Bug and I hit the stores. The focus was on cute tops, since I'm trying to retire some of my old T-shirts in favor of some nicer shirts. And we did really, really well. I hereby renew my crush on the store Deb for having awesomely awesome clothing at incredibly incredible prices. Here's a quick run-down of what I got:

AT OLD NAVY:
~ Two hoodies (one short-sleeved and black, the other long-sleeved and metallic blue)
~ Two T-shirts (one yellow and one blue) to go under the hoodies and just about anything else

AT DEB:
~ Two sweaters (one burgundy, one deep turquoise--same style)
~ A cropped blazer (gray and pink plaid)
~ A bright pink button-up (to go under the blazer)
~ A short-sleeved light blue shirt with a hood
~ Two lace-trimmed camis (one white and one bright dark pink)
~ Three necklaces (they were having a buy two, get one free sale, so I splurged)

Since I'm not the easiest person to fit, this was a really awesome day for me. And I only went about ten or fifteen bucks over what I had budgeted for it (about the price of the jewelry), so it was a really good time :D Next on my list is actually pajamas and camisoles, since when I'm at home I tend to live in those things. Gotta start saving again...

This concludes my babble.

I just couldn't help myself ^_~

You're very welcome! Like I said, I don't mind it so much when it's Matt or Robert, since they usually do a decent job of tidying up after themselves. But Bobby...GRRR! We'll see what tomorrow brings, since I work. Yay for doing truck >_>;;

I approve of your sense of fairness. You didn't use it and you shouldn't be responsible for cleaning up after him.

And horray for a good shoping day!

Unfortunately, some of the people over there tend to think that fair equals me/us cleaning up after their mess ^^;; But thank you, I felt pretty good about it.

Yes! *happy happy backflip*

Yes, it's the act of being evil and right at the same time that makes it so awesome. =P You're doing the world some justice but just with varying methods. XD Hope the stuff is cleaned up then, I guess...

Candy-chan!!! XD

Haha, I laugh at your entry! Oh, and besides that, I showed my little brother your icon and the first few lines of your entry, and he says:

"You're [basis: your icon] not the defense! You're the prosecutor! You're on the wrong side of the courtroom!"

Me? < laughs > Haha! He plays Pheonix Wright too! XP And so, I post this reply on his behalf. ;)

Much love! <3
