Drip drip drop, little August showers...

So this marks the latest that I have slept in quite some time. I'm usually not much of a "sleeper-in" these days, if that makes sense. And that doesn't count me staying curled up in bed because I don't want to move just yet ^_~ I rolled out of bed at ten to ten.

...at this point, I'm sure several of you are rolling your eyes at me.

We had a storm last night, and it woke me up at four AM. I think I've said it before, but storms usually put me to sleep. Except the one last night had thunder that was shaking my walls. And the couple of power outages I had when I lived in my apartment have me a wee bit paranoid now, so I grabbed my flashlight kept looking out the window >_>;; Fortunately, nothing of the sort happened. But I was awake for almost an hour XD

A couple nights ago I did some shopping. I had a bunch of DVDs stacked on my dresser, and I wanted to reclaim that surface area. I also had a big mess near my bedroom door because all my shoes were still in a box. So I invested in a shoe rack--yay for being able to walk past my door without tripping!

And...well, I was looking for a DVD rack, but apparently they don't make them anymore. Or no one carries them. So I wound up with a shelf instead--it's actually a nice little shelf set, and it does the job. Just wish it wasn't such a pain to put together! *glares at the top shelf* You'd better stay level if you know what's good for you.

If the tracking website thingie is to be believed, my AlphaSmart should be here today. There are no words for how happy this makes me in my tar-blackened little heart~ :D :D :D I think I will become acquainted with it while I watched The Nightmare Before Christmas, which is now out on DVD ^______^

Still no contest results on kyodoroki... ;o;

I went home early from work yesterday. Sore throat, my chest was tight, I was dizzy...I still feel awful, really D: But at least I can walk around now without tottering and tipping over sideways. So that's good.

Yay for reclaiming surface area lol Usually it's that same drive that finally gets me to clean as well. I tend to leave some things lying around so long that I actually get to seeing them as pieces of furnature instead of messes to clean up.

Yay for the AlphaSmart arriving, the notepad feature on my cellphone is generally enough for me, but you seem to be more of a writer than I am, you'll most likely see more use to it :).

I remember when I first saw that NBC was going to be available on DVD and my first thought was of how you would respond hehe. I liked the movie too, too bad it's follow-up movie (Corpse Bride) didn't measure up to it.

Hope you're not getting sick. *Sends constitutional powers out to you to help combat the feeling poorness*

...if only cleaning up the floor was that easy ^^;; Actually, after I'd cleaned my room once, I had my best friend over. She glanced in and went, "Wow, you have a desk in your room!" I thought she was kidding and went, "Har har, raucous laughter." ...and then she said, "No, seriously, I never noticed the desk before." XDD ILU, KAT.

I've taken to scribbling things on pieces of paper and stuffing them in purse/pockets to keep my ideas in line. Which is wasteful and disorganized and not terribly efficient. This will help with that, I think.

Corpse Bride...I saw it in the theatre, and I was not terribly impressed. The visuals were amazing, but I didn't walk out humming any of the songs, and I thought Victor was a flake. And I *hated* the ending. It has since grown on me, but you're right. It's not as good as NBC.

I think I'm okay. I'm already feeling a bit better than I did first thing this morning :) Thank you! ♥♥♥

I know they do make them. It was more like nobody here in town carries them anymore. I'd really expected Wal-Mart to have them, but they're doing all that remodeling, so I guess it's reasonable that they wouldn't have all their usual merchandise.

Dude, I totally feel you on the bit about putting shelves together. >__> I've had to come up with some pretty creative ways to level things, or to just keep books and such from sliding off of top shelves.

It was this one screw up on the top--it was supposed to nestle into this little plastic-covered indentation, but it wasn't lining up right. I wound up having to take a screwdriver to that plastic to widen the opening to make it fit right, and now it looks the way it's supposed to XD

I actually thought of you while I was awake and listening to the thunder. I mean...I was cringing at it, and I love storms! I wondered if you were okay. Sounds like you were, though, so yay!
