I tend to not do these kinds of memes, mostly because a lot of them seem to be wanky and negative and people wind up getting hurt. I also never get any replies~ *shallow reason is a little bit shallow* But eh, figured I'd give it a try.

Today I should really run to the store and get a few things (i.e. work clothes-esque stuffs), but I woke up way later than I usually do, and now I'm not sure if I want to go or not. And yes, waking up at ten-thirty is late for me XD I need to take a shower and make the coleslaw we're having with dinner so it has time to become more tasty ^__^

...or I might just curl up and enjoy my day off by alternating writing sprints with video game sprints in a mad attempt to take a few games off my Backloggery unfinished list. If all goes well, I might break 50K today AND actually have some stuff to post. I seriously feel like I'm writing and writing and not finishing anything ;o;

And finally, I don't know how many of you have seen it, but Funimation released the trailer for the Ouran High School Host Club dub. There's also an episode clip where you get to hear everyone except Mori...which isn't really surprisingly, considering that Mori doesn't talk much in the series, period XD

From what I have heard, the twins sound like they are spot-on, as does Huni. Seriously, that is what they are supposed to sound like. And Kyouya sounds pretty good (if a bit old for his age), but then again, we only got one line, so it could have been just that line. Haruhi is okay--she has the deadpan down pretty well, and I think her voice will grow on me. We did not hear Mori. And...Tamaki.

When I heard that Vic Minogna had been cast, I was expecting him to do it like he did Femio in Princess Tutu. Femio is essentially Tamaki in ballet shoes. Only weirder. With a bull constantly running him over. So I (along with several others) was all, "Dude! If he does it like that, then Tamaki is going to be PERFECT!"

And in the clips I saw...he didn't do it like that.

Okay, this shall do for the babble-age for the moment. Now to go make that coleslaw...

There are only a few dubs I will defend...>> Outlaw star, Code Geass, and half-slayers. :/ but yeah, it sucks when you want the dub to go one way, and they don't -_-'

There are a few dubs I really like, and some I don't. Varies from dub to dub. But I was expecting something really great from this, and there's still a chance of delivery, but...I dunno, it was a bit sadmaking.

Okay, it's not *terrible,* like, say...anything from the CCS dub *shudders* Not the worst I've ever seen. But it's not what I was expecting, and that makes me sort of go sadface.

Tamaki is not as smooth as I hoped and Haruhi is just jarring to me. Won't stop me from buying it though. I'll just watch it in Japanese, and then watch it in English when I'm VERY DRUNK.

I know I was sitting anxiously waiting for the American voices and then Tamaki started talking. I don't think I can make myself watch it in English now, Tamaki is supposed to be sultry not whiny/puberty voiced. Oh well, at least the opening song isn't unbearable. Now I can sing along and understand what I am saying. haha.

Honestly, I sort of feel like the personality is kind of there, but the voice needed to be at least half an octave lower. But we shall have to wait and see, I suppose :)

Well, my ears don't bleed listening to the voices. I definitly see Haruhi's voice growing on me. I'll wait and see about Tamaki's. If they can make it as funny in English as the Japanese, I'll forgive one voice being off.

I'll, for the most part, defend the Pretear English dub. They pronounce Himeno as Himino but after three episodes, I got used to it.

The other thing I'm waiting on is to see how he handles those more dramatic moments. Confronting whatshername in the first episode, etc. If those are especially well done, I think he will grow on me. And Haruhi will *definitely* grow on me.

The Pretear dub was not bad at all. I do prefer the Japanese, but it was pretty good. ADV has done some really good dubs over the past few years! *snuggles Azumanga Daioh and Princess Tutu*
