So I just watched Fringe. That new show on Fox that looks for all the world like an X-Files rip-off? Yeah. It sort of is, and at the same time completely isn't.

And I might just be a bit on the hooked side of Sears.

Anyway, I'm going to curl up and write for a little bit before bed, and then tomorrow I am intending to write an insanely MASSIVE amount. Like...curling up with my DVDs of A Haunting (campy, cheesy, but strangely addictive show) and my Neo and just cranking out the words as fast as I can. I won't put my goals here, because you will probably laugh and call me insane. But yes, marathon writing and ghost-watching, yays!

Part of my writing plan consists of all these lovely requests. I love doing fic prompt thingies. They're just fun!

Oh, and work was interesting today. Namely, I did a short stint over in the kitchen. Apparently, someone called in or was going to have to be late or something, and the manager over there needed to go run someplace. So I toodled on down and got a crash course in Working the Kitchen 101, and was told it would probably be for about half an hour. Well, Kitchen Manager decided to leave a bit earlier, so it wound up being closer to an hour--around fifty minutes.

It really wasn't that bad--I brought down a cutting board and some veggies for Italian and cut those. It's a nice, easy, portable job that can take up a great deal of time if one knows how to do it properly ^_~ Which I do, because between the four or five customers I helped (all with small things, and all of whom were very patient with my fumbling with the label machine) and cutting up the onions and peppers, I was working up until about thirty seconds after the actual kitchen worker got there.

I'm trying to get my one shift switched over from Sunday to Wednesday to alleviate the source of my stress and the reason why going to work on Sundays makes me sick to my stomach. Namely, the person I work with that day. We clash horribly, we actually went at it the other day, and it's making me hate my job.

I spoke to Chong about asking our manager if I could pick up the empty Wednesday shift instead, figuring I'd claim other reasons. Nope--first question out of her mouth was "Is it [this person's name]?" And I simply said that we butt heads, and I would like to try and alleviate the problem before it escalates. I've usually been pretty good about working with whoever I'm scheduled with, and I try not to make too many waves. But I guess I'm not the only person having troubles with this particular individual.

She sort of surprised me when she sympathized with me about it, asked if I would be okay with it if we couldn't move me around, and told me to just ignore this person at work. When I left, she assured me that she would talk to our manager and ask him. She also commented that we might be hiring another person, so that could affect things.

We'll see what happens with this. Whatever the case, I'll make do.

And finally, I know I've been missing a lot of birthday shout-outs to various people, and for that I feel bad v_v A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO EVERYONE'S BIRTHDAY WHO I MISSED! I LOVE YOU! ~♥♥♥

Fringe... I haven't seen that. Actually, to be honest, I don't watch much of the T.V. series stuffs. I never have the time. >< However, the past year, I went on a crazy Scrubs run. I watched like all 6-7 seasons in a few months. *laughs* Maybe you should give Scrubs a try? The episodes don't really connect to each other like a drama. The episodes are like short stories -- bursts of funnies! Awesome for taking a short 20 minute break. ;) I think I shall stop talking about Scrubs now. I sound like an advertisement. Haha. <3

*huggles* I'm sorry that you have to work with someone you really get along with. That really sucks. :( You have my condolences. However, sometimes, you just have to tough it out. Well, at least you can always rant about them on LJ, and we can try to make you feel better. Or we can cyber *stab* them. >D Jk~ I hope it works out alright for you. <3

There are only a couple of shows that I watch. So when I watch them, I tend to be really protective and RAWR about people interrupting me XD I like Numb3rs a lot ^_^

...I'll give it a look, but what little I have seen of it didn't seem like my cup of tea. Don't ask me exactly why. But I'll give it another go.

*hugs back* Thanks, hon. I hope it works out. If not...well, there might be a lot more LJ posts about work. And my hatred of my job might have to continue ^^;;

Haven't missed mine yet! It's this Friday! ;)

I know all about having coworkers you can barely stand working with. My last job, there was one girl I wanted to strangle, and we worked together every Thursday night. I was making jokes about hiding her body in the baler.

*hugs Candy* This too, shall pass.
