Work yesterday was actually pretty good. We were steady-busy, not swamped-busy, which meant that I could actually get other stuff done. Left the other girl with a full case (save for the two calzones that lady took two minutes before my shift ended, grr~), and because her co-worker for the evening called in sick, I actually stayed about twenty minutes past the end of my shift to finish chopping those onions for Italian so she wouldn't have to do it.

Then I picked up some milk for my mom. And yes, when I talked to Kat next, I had to make the obligatory one-liner: "I am the Milkman. My milk is delicious." It's near the end of the video--start watching around 4:00 in for the fun XD Psychonauts, ILU~ And speaking of...

All right, so [livejournal.com profile] kaitodoushi and I have been playing Psychonauts on Sunday nights, since that's the only night we both consistently have free. We're aiming for one hundred percent completion because there's supposed to be an extra scene at the end if you make it to level one hundred, which we presume is achieved by getting EVERYTHING.

So our usual method of playing is sort of plow through the level, then go back and get everything else...and there's something oddly happy-making about getting those little notices that says you have collected all the figments, or that all the mental cobwebs have been cleared (they're bright pink :D), or looking and seeing that you've got both of the vaults, or sorting all of the weeping emotional baggage (my favorite is the purse--thank god for visual gags!)

So last night we wrapped up Gloria's Theater, and then we played a level we have been greatly looking forward to: Waterloo World. Why have we been looking forward to it? Because we're inside the mind of a character named Fred Bonaparte, who turned out to be a descendant of Napoleon. Don't need much more reason than that. I mean, come on. FRED BONAPARTE.

Three favorite levels are still The Milkman Conspiracy (I laughed straight through that world because of all the awesome one-liners), Lungfishopolis (this is Kat's favorite level--you are Godzilla Goggalor, and they are the city of talking fish), and Waterloo World (because it was just so damned unique!)

...I'm going to be sort of sad when we're done with this game. Okay, really sad. It's insane and funny and crazy and occasionally frustrating (Ursula the Psi Card on top of the very tall cliff, I'M LOOKING AT YOU!)...what are we going to play next? TT^TT We've done two games worth of gay lawyers and now Psychonauts...maybe Shadow of the Colossus? I dunno XD

So today is my day off work, glorious! Translation: I continue to have nothing of great interest to post about, so...here's my plan for today: I have a couple of errands to run, and I need to work out liek whoa, and then I have some cleaning to do, and then tonight I need to write. I took a few days off due to burn-out and frustration with some things in reality. But I think I'm good to start back up again.

...I feel like there was something else I wanted to post up on LJ, but I can't think of what it was. Eh, must not have been terribly important. Maybe it'll come to me later~ *scurries off to do things of vague importance*
