*flings self at various people and weeps*
Sep. 26th, 2008 04:43 pmO HAY,
kaitodoushi? You know how you took tonight off work because you had those performances? Yeah...here's a bullet, now I'm going to watch you dodge it. Also, you remember that one night when we made twenty-eight pizzas? Today, I beat that record by a narrow margin. Like, say...I helped to make, wrap, and label nearly ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY of the bastards.
Apparently we're doing a one-day sale on our medium pepperoni thin crusts. Too bad no one thought to tell us before ten o'clock this morning so we could, ya know, order enough supplies and make the things in advance. So I get this news this morning, FROM THE STORE'S GENERAL MANAGER, NO LESS, and am forced to tell him that we knew nothing of it and didn't have enough stuff.
...although I'm pretty sure he thinks pretty highly of me now because damn, can I order the troops around and get this crap done. Seriously. Long story short, we had a bunch of department managers back there helping us make pizzas and running around to get us stuff. Then we were running short on crusts, so the bakery actually made us some. And there is something very gratifying about having the personnel manager say that I'll always have a job back there because I'm good at what I do.
And then the GM was giving me crap because I didn't want to do intercom announcements--don't ask me why, I just hate doing them. So I gave him crap right back, and got a hearty pat on the back and a big thank you on my way out as I went to clock out. I stayed for an extra half an hour to help, but when there are five people making the pizzas as opposed to one wrapping them (that one being me)...yeah, I decided to hand that over to Tim and head out.
So again I must address
kaitodoushi. Remember how we were talking about the possibility of ordering pizza on Sunday durign Game Tiemz? My thoughts on that have changed. Short answer: No. Long answer: HELL NO, AND POSSIBLY NEVER AGAIN. Let's come up with a new plan, okay? Please? Also, sweetie--we can has tickets?
...I am going to be haunted by pepperoni now. In my nightmares ;o; Haaaaaalp...
After I finish this entry, I think I'm going to go shower. And then tonight I'm going grocery shopping with my parents (ironically, I think we're going to my place of employment to take advantage of some of the other sales ~_~), and then I think we're picking something up to eat on the way home. And then I have to write. I have to write like crazy. M'slacking off waaaaaaaay too much.
...and having just taken a moment to peruse my f-list, I feel like the only person in the fandom who hasn't watched the trailer for the third Layton game. And since I already had game two spoiled for me (DID NOT WANT T_T), m'not really sure if I want to watch it because I don't want to be spoiled more ;o;
