candylandHaven't been on LJ too terribly much over the last couple of days, except to toss up the daily word count posts over on ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
seasonwrite3 like a good mod. Busy Candy is busy and all that blah-dee-blah-blah, etc. I won't try to cover all the stuff that's happened in the last few days since I updated, but I'll hit the important points...

kaitodoushi and I finally finished Psychonauts. That game is now the standard to which I hold all games in terms of writing and story. It unseated Ace Attorney for the writing award (though I still loves me some gay sarcastic lawyers). I adore that game. She's coming over again tomorrow, and we're determined to beat Portal in one sitting. Wish us luck!
Wednesday night: Wound up going on a late-night ice cream run withkaitodoushi and bishonen_girl. As we were nearing the restaurant, we saw (kid you not) SIX police cruisers with their sirens going, all heading in the same direction on the same road. A little further down, we spotted a police van, and a State Trooper's car. I have no idea what they were going after, but it was kinda cool to see 'em all one right after the other.
Work: Continues to suck.
Fics: Am trying frantically to finish stuff that does not seem to want to be finished. Went ahead and posted my very tiny backlog of stuff over oncandyfics. I have my Halloween fic done for spook_me, and that is a Professor Layton fic that will go up near the end of the month. Still plowing through requests as fast as my plunnies will let me. I also have my next three fandoms figured out for 100fandomhell.
Other than that...I'm starting to hate Song of the Wind. I have the fourteenth chapter written and done. The thirteenth chapter, however, does not want to be written. It's this one scene that just can't seem to work right. It's insanely frustrating, to say the least. Honestly, I'm not entirely happy with the whole chapter, but I don't want to rewrite it because I'm not entirely sure how to improve it. So...I'm going with it. Once I finish that last damned scene... *grumble*
And now I'm off to go take a really fast shower and get dressed. I'm giving one of my co-workers a lift home, and then I have to come home and pick up around here a little bit before Kat comes over tomorrow. I also want to try and write at least a little bit. We shall see~
