I now have 195 userpics. Thanks, LJ!
So we saw Spamalot last night. It was just as awesome the second time around. Oh my stars...there's a lot of stuff I didn't remember seeing in there the first time. But as before, you could tell the people who had seen it because things would happen, and they would just start cheering before the actual joke even came about. See also: the French Taunter.
I must also point out that during the "Lancelot" musical number, there's a part where they snap their fingers. And I actually leaned over to
kaitodoushi and whispered GAY SNAP! Thanks a lot, Professor Layton fandom XD ILU~
We had a great time at dinner, and the show was, of course, amazing. But the best part for me was seeing my mom enjoy it. She is NOT a fan of the original movie, but she was cracking up left and right at the show. It was great! And Dad likes the movie, so he went in sure he would like it, and by golly, he did!
When we saw it in Des Moines, the Knights Who Up Until Recently Nii said "Eki eki eki pitang *more jibberish* EXPECTO PATRONUM!" as it was about t-minus three hours to the release of the seventh Harry Potter book. Well, when they did it here, they did the jibberish, and then went "Siouxland Cyclones Hawkeyes OKOBOJI!" Okoboji is a lake here in Iowa, and is a popular weekend vacation spot during the summer.
...and then he went on and said that sometimes being a giant made him so depressed that he wanted to shoot himself in the leg. And everybody did the "Oooooooh!" thing XD
When they found the grail, they brought the person who's seat it was under up on the stage, and told this young man (who I'm sure was glad he dressed for the occasion in sweatpants and a shirt that did not match), they told him he would go down in the annals of our town, along with Mayor [name] and Famous Dave's BBQ.
...who says Iowans don't know how to party? XD
In other news, I am not good at the anonymous thing, since apparently everyone knows I'm writing it XDD Although apparently some people were like, "It looks like Candy's writing. That's her style...but it can't be her, she doesn't ship that pairing!" *laugh* Oh well, I'm having fun writing it!
And finally, I am currently nursing was very much look like chemical burns on the backs of my hands, and a couple of small ones on my cheeks. At least, my mom says they look like chemical burns, and my manager at work looked downright alarmed when I showed him.
We have this cleaner called Spitfire. Really powerful stuff. One of the cooks has been having some bad reactions to it. Well, today I was cleaning one of the cooler doors, and I used a bit of the stuff on the hard-to-scrub spots. Let it be known that I have *never* had any sort of reaction to this stuff, or anything else back there at work. I've used it lots of times, and it's never bothered me (unless the surface was hot and I got the fumes in the face, which could knock you flat). I don't have sensitive skin or anything.
Not longer after doing this, I went to the bathroom. While I was washing my hands, I noticed that the backs of them were kind of red. I didn't think too much of it, since I'd had the water a little too hot anyway. But then later, when I was taking off my gloves, I noticed that they were REALLY red, and it was sort of flecked, like the droplets in a spray pattern. That's when I showed Chong, and we called Manager down.
...I don't know if we got a bad batch or they changed the formula or something, but it sounds like quite a few people have started having reactions to the stuff. Rashes, burns like mine, even breathing difficulties. Manager looked really alarmed, and said that we should stop using it and tell others to not use it while they look into it.
It's...a little freaky, to be honest @_@
I have tomorrow off, yay! Need to practice some piano. And
dia_aren_marie? I'm finally getting my ass in gear and getting back on that Layton script XD My computer decided to eat the file before, but I'm cranking along on take two! Also, rumor has it that we're going to get the second game sometime in 2009. PLEASE GOD LET IT BE TRUE.
...okay. Will stop babbling now~ *toodles away*

Date: 2008-12-05 07:09 am (UTC)I hope your hands feel better. I can kind of feel for you about chemical burns. In a Chemistry lab a few years ago, I had to deal with undiluted hydrochloric acid (HCl)... Yeah, it wasn't so good. I spilled some on the counter we had and it started... sizzling. >.> XD
*gasp* I didn't know you played the piano! That's mega awesome. You should definitely put some recordings up!

Date: 2008-12-05 03:03 pm (UTC)Ack o.O That's pretty bad. Worst thing I ever did in my high school chem labs was accidentally setting a rubber hose on fire ^^;; But they're feeling better now, and most of the redness has gone away. Just some spots on my wrists still ♥
I was actually a music major in college but we won't talk about that right now. And...err, I don't think you want to hear me play. It's painful ^^;;

Date: 2008-12-05 11:10 am (UTC)But yay! <333 Thank you dear! :D Do update me on how it's going. I... have to update with SOMETHING too but I'm not sure what haaaaaaaaaaaxx DDDDDDDDDX
I HOPE THAT'S TRUE ugh that means more catching up with the site and game one content before the second one comes out? XD hahaha

Date: 2008-12-05 03:06 pm (UTC)I'm into Chapter 1, which doesn't sound like very far, but I think when you see it you'll know why it's taking me so long. I might send it to you chapter by chapter, just so you have it. Unless you want it all at once? XD
That's one of the reasons that I'm getting my ass in gear about redoing the thing. Because if that's true, then we should really have the site up and running so when we get all the new information from game two, it's a matter of adding on :D Umm...I c-could offer some fics or something? *wibbles*

Date: 2008-12-06 12:01 pm (UTC)Part by part would be better so we can get updates up! :D
And yeah, we really need to get our arses in gear. I'm hoping we can get the info pages up earliest because once those are out of the way, it's a matter of adding in media which we can do part by part. Christmas break is close so I intend to really get whatever media I can extract done (ughhh confusing stuff.) And you know I suck at doing info. D:
I'm still trying to gather fanwork, but, sadly, only one person submitted (and, I think all of them were spoilers for the next two games, and I'd rather not do that x___x;;;). It's really kind of "aaaa", because while I understand (and I can be that way sometimes), it's a bit hard to update with anything when ppl say "o i will submit i have stuff" and then they don't do it. ^^;;; Halp in getting them to submit pl0x? Not forcefully, just a friendly reminder - I tried three times, but nada. XD;;;
