Today I burned a third of a pound!
Jan. 28th, 2009 08:08 pmToday's accomplishments were few, but significant. I watched twelve episodes of Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, having watched the first episode yesterday. All of said episodes were viewed from the comfort of my treadmill.
Today's total viewing experience clocked in 4.7 miles. And when I glanced down to see how many calories the little thingie said I had burned, I realized that it only had three digit spots, and as such only went up to 999. When I looked, it read 114. In short...I burned 1114 calories today on the treadmill, watching anime.
I was wearing pajama pants and an old camisole for the purpose of exercising, since I was going to be getting all gross. And they're starting to get a just little bit baggy. It's not much, but a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step and all that jazz.
...I sort of wish I could pull more days like I did today. It was fun, I had a good time, and hey, breezed through twelve episodes of an anime that I really did enjoy, a lot more than I thought I would.
kaitodoushi? If I get you to watch nothing else, YOU ARE WATCHING EPISODE TWELVE. The Hollywood episode was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time :D But there are only two days a week when I have the kind of time to do exercise stints like that.
AND WOULD SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY I WATCH THESE CRACKY SHOWS AND MY PLUNNIES FOR THEM WIND UP BEING ALL SERIOUS MCANGSTYPANTS?
Between romps on the treadmill, I played Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time. I spent probably a ridiculous amount of time leveling up to level forty-two before I went and tackled the Crystal Caves mission...and proceeded to merrily stomp all over everything that wandered into my path z(^o^)b I think I'm almost done with the story mode. Then there's all the extra stuff to be accomplished. We shall see~
My days off are so productive, n/n?
*puts Abenobashi back on the shelf and picks up DNAngel* Your turn, dearie~ We'll start you tomorrow.

I will say I have been sleeping better since I started taking good walks (3 miles a day).
You get angsty plunnies because your brain starts to overload from the crack and they act as a safety release.

Date: 2009-01-29 02:31 am (UTC)YAY US! And I've been crashing earlier and sleeping better since I started exercising and changing my diet, I've noticed. Just a lot of overall feeling better-ness :D
...that might be...this is what happened with Psychonauts, too. Funniest game I've ever played, and the fic I posted for it for

Date: 2009-01-29 03:18 am (UTC)Isn't it an awesome feeling? I found that I can nearly walk off a migraine, too.
*snicker* That's my only explaination.

Date: 2009-01-29 03:35 am (UTC)Right after I started, I had some headaches here and there, but my research told me that when you change your diet and start exercising, your body has to "detox" and adjust. But those have passed \o/
Must be it, then... *sighs and starts writing*

Date: 2009-01-29 03:46 am (UTC)I had headaches last week and that was when I ramped up my walking to 3 miles a night. That might be why...
You don't have to write them. Not that we are complaining if you do. ^_^

Date: 2009-01-29 04:05 am (UTC)Hard to say for me. I've only been doing it about two weeks.
Put an explosion in your next one. Gratuitous explosions make everything better.

Date: 2009-01-29 04:57 am (UTC)Hmmm, I started walking because my pants were getting tight at the waist and I can't really afford to go buy new pants. XD
Sweet. I like that idea. ^^ Have her go all McGyver.

Date: 2009-01-29 06:38 am (UTC)I've been wanting to get in shape for a while now, but...well, I'm lazy ^^;; The fact that I am now actually having to show my weight to another person on a weekly basis is motivation enough for me. Plus, I'm tired of not being able to find cute clothes D:
*giggles* That would definitely take the story in a direction I had not originally thought it would go XD

Date: 2009-01-29 04:04 am (UTC)Haha, it never fails. I watch a silly show and angst plunnies happen. Sometimes I actually write a bit of crack, too ... but my true writing love always prevails.

Date: 2009-01-29 04:13 am (UTC)I started out as an angst writer. Then I slowly sort of shifted over to comedy. And now I seem to be gravitating more back towards angst XD *sings* IT'S THE CIIIIIIIIIRCLE OF LIIIIIIIFE-- *killed*

Date: 2009-01-29 06:39 am (UTC)If it helps, I sometimes use writing as therapy--it can make me feel better to read about people who are having a worse time than I am!

Date: 2009-01-29 11:24 am (UTC)**hugs h/c.** I usually write general/drama, mild h/c, heavy h/c and angst, and mysteries, with paranormal and humor sprinkled around.
I use writing as therapy sometimes, too---I write about people having a worse time than I am. XD

Date: 2009-01-29 02:24 pm (UTC)I write a lot of gen, especially in my current fandom. But I love most genres :D What I write just sometimes depends on the plunnies and the mood~ Or how bad my day has been.

Date: 2009-01-29 02:05 pm (UTC)As for DNAngel. I loved the concept, but it just sort of flopped in the followthrough to me. I was expecting something more I guess. Not to say it wasn't a good anime, cause Daisuke is cute~ ♥

Date: 2009-01-29 02:25 pm (UTC)And angsty plunnies...I've heard people say that the manga is better, although I tried to read the manga and could barely keep track of who was who, so I didn't get very far. We shall see~ Nothing ventured, nothing gained!
