I've noticed something about Iowans: we tend to be very, very proud of our home-grown stars. This is something I picked up at work when people were talking about it, and I would hear things like, "I like the Steelers well enough, but Kurt Warner is a UNI boy, so go Cardinals!" My house is cheering for the Cardinals. I...honestly don't care too much one way or the other. I watch for the commercials ^^;;

Oh! Mom and Dad bought me a little present to celebrate me dropping the first ten pounds! They bought me a new wallet! It's really nice--black and shiny, one of those with a little button you have to push for it to pop open :D And Mom said that she thinks my skin's clearing up, too.

On a semi-related note, I wasn't hungry at all today. I had a drink that I was sipping for most of the day, but that was all until dinner. I'm aware that it's really not healthy to do things like that, but I just wasn't...hungry. Plus I was so busy at work that the idea of a break seemed about a million miles away XD

Actually, after I finish this entry I'm going to go hop on the treadmill and do some exercising. Since the game is tomorrow, and my parents have bought munchies, and I know I'm going to wind up munching at least a little, I figure I'll do a little extra tonight and a little extra on Monday to balance the scales a bit--so to speak. Although Mondays and Wednesdays (my days off) tend to be my big days since I actually have the time to spend an hour and a half jogging.

Aaaaand I have been pondering over whether or not it would be fun to try and challenge myself on [livejournal.com profile] 100fandomhell and try to do one fandom for each letter of the alphabet. Having actually poked around to see if it was feasible, I have only this to say: thank god for xxxHolic, and the letter Q can go do unmentionable things to itself with a forked stick.

THAT IS ALL!

Thanks! I'd rather have muscle than flab ;o; My friend [livejournal.com profile] jewelsybear1017 has been doing this (http://health.msn.com/weight-loss/best-body-women/slideshow.aspx?cp-documentid=100186033) workout. It's worth a try? I might give it a go at some point, see how it works. But right now the treadmill is my primary work-out. Once the bookshelf gets moved, I'll do more on the resistance machine XD

I had heard that! I've also heard that your weight drops a certain amount every hour you sleep (although it's a paltry amount, just a few ounces). Since I've been exercising, my appetite has been weird, but my sleep schedule has gotten fairly solid, even if my sleep hasn't always been totally restful.

I already did that series ;o; But I found a short manga series that starts with the letter Q, so I'll give that a try. And as [livejournal.com profile] fyliwionvilyaer pointed out, if worst comes to worst, there's always Quest for Camelot *laugh*

The problem with lots of muscle is that, I swear, all the fat is converted to muscle and I -don't- lose weight. People don't believe me when I tell them my weight. Technically, I am overweight for my height but I have had pretty much the same range of weight since h.s.

Hey, the ounces add up! And then you aren't snacking as much, either!

I couldn't remember. That one works. ^_^ Gonna start a list of series based on the alphabet to write?

Actually, that's a myth. Fat and muscle are two different types of tissue :D *has been researching online, whee!* But if I had muscle-weight instead of fat-weight, I'd be happy.

True on both counts! \o/

Yup! I've done sixteen out of twenty-six letters ^^;; It would just be kind of cool if I could pull it off, if only to satisfy my own dorkiness *laugh*

Which part is the myth? I do know a lb of muscle takes up less space then a lb of fat.

Yep!

Go you! I wish I had that kind of mad writing skill.

Muscle can't turn into fat, or vice versa. They're two entirely different types of tissue.

I've...barely written anything in the last month ;o; I'm way behind on [livejournal.com profile] springwrite, but I have zero motivation.

What I meant was the the fat was burned as my body was creating muscle.

You just need a break. It's okay to take one.

BTW, I love that icon. Batman makes everything more awesome.

Ooooh, I see. I misunderstood ^^;;

I've been taking a break for something like two weeks ;o; Need to wriiiite...I might issue a challenge to my [livejournal.com profile] springwrite team and suggest a ten thousand word day...

Thank you! Indeed! \o/

So, it seems like I'm not losing weight. ^^; And I wasn't very clear about it.

Good luck with whatever you choose. And I couldn't do 10,000 words a day. My personal best it around 3,500.
