candyland: (run away)

Of all the stores that could make me partially redact my earlier statements about no stores carrying women's white button-up shirts that button all the way up to the collar? I did not expect that store to be Old Navy. But yes, I has new shirts~ *squishes them...and then starts ironing* XD

Tomorrow is my last weigh-in for Live Healthy. I'm not going to hit fifteen percent, but I zoomed past ten percent, and as of last week had dropped thirty pounds since January 14th. I am quite pleased with that, and I'm going to keep going on it. I'll probably post the weekly number here on LJ as further motivation ^__^ Tomorrow night is also my first day in the pharmacy. Wish me luck!

On a note semi-related to both of the above topics, it occurred to me that making this move could also be very beneficial to my diet, since I will be in a place where I can decide what I'm going to eat. I will no longer be back in a department with people who declare that tofu is a diet food as they drop it into the deep fryer, and who take the words "I'm not hungry" as either an insult or a personal challenge. Because if you ask six more times, surely the person will magically become hungry, and if you cut them a piece of cake even though they've said "no thank you" all six times, they'll miraculously want it.

I did write four more of the prompts for the alphabet meme, but they're on my Neo XD I'll hopefully write a few more tonight (in between workouts) and get them uploaded and posted. I also find myself with ideas for fandoms that I haven't really written much for--Wall·E, Tantei Gakuen Q, and Fatal Frame come to mind. Which reminds me that I need to update my icons on [livejournal.com profile] candyfics. I think I might be getting my muses back, just very slowly.

ETA: Oh yeah, meant to ask--Laytonites? 'Fess up, who posted this? I am amused and curious~ XDDD

I want to know who that was too. I accused Tat but she won't admit to it.

I'm wondering if it was something that popped up in the Skype chat XD But this is now the third time I've been paired up, to some degree, with an LJ buddy.

...at least this time there isn't fic and/or art *brick'd*

Be careful what you say. Someone might go head and take care of that. XD

Non sequiter: Would you believe I still don't have a Professor Layton plunnie and I'm on the 7th floor of the tower?

Dude, someone drew PORN of Jeva and me. (Except they hadn't seen me, so it didn't look like me at all.) I'm not sure much else could match up to that.

I remember that. Heh.

I beat the game (but still have some puzzles to find). One of the pics that scroll though with the credits has given me an idea that would make a funny little series. But I've got to let it set a little more before I try to write it (or share the idea).

Old Navy manages to surprise me from time to time. It's about the only place in our small hamlet that has affordable, descent clothes for those of us that aren't looking for teeny-bopper trends. Plus their clothes are cut to fit more mature bodies, ie those with curves.

I know--when I was walking through there looking at shirts, I was actually fairly surprised. There was a lot of stuff there that I would gladly wear. So once I'm down into their sizes, I might start shopping there again.

And yes! Clothes cut for those of us with boobs! :D
