Today's achievements included finishing up the tagging and memory-ing of stuff on [livejournal.com profile] candyfics's InsaneJournal counterpart (something I'm ninety percent sure no one but me really cares about, but it's done and I'm happy about it, dammit!), and also doing a whole lot of nothing.

All right, so after giving it some thought (and taking a few things into account, none of which I'm going to go into here), I have decided that I'm going to give Hetalia a read. I've already been a bit biased against it (these would be the various things that I'm not going to discuss here), but...I'll try to give it as impartial a read as I can.

Other than that, I make no promises ^o^

Plunnies bit today. Of all things, an angsty Pokemon idea. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

Professor Layton now has a caps comm: [livejournal.com profile] puz_lock. Thus far, there has been discussion of bacon. Delicious bacon...

Blargh. Work tomorrow, and my sister wants me to take her out to the storage unit to get some of her stuff, which has to be done before work, since I work from ten-thirty to eight, and the storage place is only open from eight AM to eight PM. Whoo, early morning get~

Hetalia is just one of those things you really need to take with a grain of salt. The history behind the comic strips isn't accurate all the time, but in general is. The nations' personalities are based on national stereotypes and history. What most people seem to forget is just that this series is something drawn by a Japanese guys living in New York whenever he finds something in history or current events that he finds funny.

It...isn't really the subject matter that's been bothering me, let's put it that way >_>;;

If there was ever an anime/manga that could warm my father to the genre, it would either be Hetalia or the one that was based on the Seven Samurai. Dad loves history and that movie ^___^ We'll see what I think.

All righty, there will be Poke-angst! ^o^ *was hoping for encouragement because I loves me some angst, even if it is for something as silly and cheery as Pokemon*

Thank you! :D

I figure I should at least give it a look, ya know? Out of fairness ^^;;

I WILL WRITE POKE-ANGST, THEN ;^; Gaaaah, why are all these small/old fandoms biting me now? *pokes Fatal Frame/Project ZERO* Oi, don't look innocent, you're part of the problem!

I do recommend looking at it so's to judge for yourself :D
but then, part of my heart sinks every time one of my friends gets captured by it XD;
I used to read it myself, but in the end I just found it too horribly mediocre in comparison to how rabid its fans were.
I'm not going to lie though, some strips are quite sweet. the art style bores me though

YESSSSSSS POKE ANGSTTTTT
I know the feeling. I'm working on three ZERO fics at the moment. I've not written for that fandom in four, maybe five years? whattt. There's just so many nifty little holes in the canon that need fleshing out and nffffh ;_;

I know, I know~ I won't get sucked into the rabidness of it all, I promise ;^; I just want to see what all the fuss is about and maybe knock another fandom off [livejournal.com profile] 100fandomhell, for god's sake! We shall see what happens~

I'm finding myself getting ideas for fandoms I haven't touched or thought of in years. Most of them aren't really all that workable, but others...I dunno XD And yes, there will be Poke-angst. Maybe I'll write that one tomorrow!
