I think I forgot to mention, but I gotted a new phone! We went with Samsung Glydes. I'm still getting used to it, but I think I like it. My only concern is that I put it in my purse when I went to work yesterday, sent a handful of texts with it, and when I got home, the battery was already half dead. That's a pretty quick drain, to my mind. But otherwise, I think I like it!

...although I am a little bit worried, since dear ol' Dad is technologically challenged on a good day. He liked the old phone because it was simple and uncomplicated. Adding a touch screen and a keyboard could very well render him unable to use his phone. But we shall teach him, somehow!

Yesterday at work was INSANE. Oh good freakin' lord. Apparently the day after a holiday is always insane. Especially if it's a holiday like Memorial Day, which falls on a Monday. The reason for that, of course, is that most health care places are closed on Sunday, so Mondays are already usually busy. Then add in another day of wait, and we basically get to play the Catch-Up Game. I spent an HOUR on drive-through, just one car after another.

On the bright side, it made the day go by quickly :D

I knew that I wanted to do a big writing day today, though. I got up at eight, and started sprinting at eight-thirty. Three hours of sprinting later, I'm already nearing the 6K mark. There will be fics posted at some point. Possibly many of them ^__^ These should include Poke-angst, as promised to a couple of people!

But right now I'm taking a break. Gonna watch the new Zero Punctuation, and then go find something to eat, and then pop in a DVD and get back to the ol' word processor. And write Poke-angst :3 And also things that are not Poke-angst.

If you just put the battery in straight from the box they tend to run down pretty quick. It should hold the charge better once you actually charge for the first time.

Except it had been charging overnight :S And the phone was still half-drained after a day of sitting in my purse and firing off a handful of texts.

>.< I see. Can't help ya there. I've heard the phones with touch screens eat through battery power faster. I have to charge mine every 3-4 days (I have a Samsung Propel). It doesn't have a touch screen. Maybe there is something else that is draining the battery? Phones will go through the power faster if there is poor reception as they try to reach out to get a signal. Are you working at a place with poor reception?
