Fun things heard at work yesterday!

ME: ...does it look like the pills have smilie faces on them?
HER: ...yes. It does.
ME: Oh. *pause* You know you've been counting too long when...

An elderly man came to pick up his prescription.
HIM: It's my eighty-fifth birthday today.
US: Happy birthday!
HIM: And you know, I like to tell the girls that I can still get a good erection. I don't need none of that Viagra stuff!
US: *collapsed over the counting table, laughing*

Did I mention that we're all ladies back there? Except for one guy, but he usually works nights, so he wasn't there when this exchange occurred. But it was funny later, when another customer said, "I love you girls!" and Male Tech stepped out from behind the shelf and waved and said thank you XD

Unfun thing heard the other day. I was at the store, and stopped next to a display of Little Debbie's stuff while I was firing off a text message. And this guy who I have never seen before in my life--total stranger, no idea who he was--walks up to me, and says, I kid you not...

"You know, Americans traded a Bush for a fudge-bar."

...yeah. Sort of a "I don't know what to say to that, so I'm going to walk this way now, please don't follow me" moment.

I just did half an hour of strength training, and now I'm off to go do a bit o' yoga before I have a shower and some lunch. It's sort of nice to be getting back at it, although I did have to shove a bunch of my sister's stuff out of the way so I had room to work out. And I still wound up stepping on her suitcase and almost flew back onto the recliner. Which probably would have resulted in something breaking--either me or the furniture.

Or maybe my sister when she gets home. I love you, Bug, but GRRRRRR.

The rest of my afternoon will happily consist of watching Bones, playing DS, and maybe scratching out a story or two. Maybe read more Good Omens. I've got about a hundred pages left, doing most of my reading during my breaks at work, and I am still adoring the book. It feels like it's been a while since I had a day off. And actually, this isn't a proper day off because I still have to go to a certification review class tonight from six to nine.

Actually, I've been considering making a f-locked filter and using it to keep a daily or semi-daily log on here of food and exercise and weight and things as further motivation for myself because I'm the sort who's likely to do better if it's getting put in some semblance of a public place. The question is: would anyone actually want to be on such a filter? XD

All right, yoga time.

I would totally help in being motivational material. It's so much easier when you're not in it alone.

I'm with Manders. I will so help in the motivation department. You inspired me as I started exercising in February because of your posts.
