kaitodoushi, we need to marathon Case Closed together. The MST potential here is EPIC.

Today I went and donated blood. I was originally supposed to go on Saturday, but I had to work, so I rescheduled. Overslept a bit, so I got there a few minutes late. Whoops ^^;; But yeah, got that taken care of, whee!

After that, I went to the library. Dropped off one book, picked up a couple others, and then sat and studied for my pharm tech certification test for a while. That was pretty nice, to be able to study in peace and quiet (except for the guy sitting a couple chairs over who was apparently incapable of putting his cell phone on vibrate.)

(Or talking quietly.)

After that, I got a sub and went home to eat it. Mom had asked me to put dinner in the crockpot (stew, yum!), so I cut up the carrots and potatoes and put them in the crockpot with the meat and some onion soup mix and beef broth and turned it on and went downstairs to take a nap because donating blood usually makes me tired and cranky and liable to go RAWR at people.

Fast-forward to my father coming home and calling down the stairs. "[Candy]? Why isn't the crockpot plugged in?"

...oops ^^;; *cue my icon*

So Mom brought tacos home. Delicious tacos...

When I started reading The Dark is Rising sequence, I think it was

aishuu who warned me not to get discouraged by the first book, which is Over Sea, Under Stone. And I am seeing what she meant. I think I just need to sit down and plow through it so I can get to the rest of the series, which is supposed to be a lot better.
