Ohmigooooooooood...
Sep. 18th, 2009 07:47 pmYou know, of all the phrases I ever thought I would hear/wanted to hear while at work--in a pharmacy--was the phrase, "Yeah, I've got the flu. They don't know if it's swine flu or not, but I've got something." The minute he walked away from the counter, my manager was like, "[Candy]! Sanitizer and paper towels! Now!" So I cleaned the counter.
I got my hair cut on Wednesday. Chopped off three and a half inches, got it layered, got swoopy bangs (which are taking me a while to get used to because they are kind of in my face). I'm fairly pleased with it--yesterday I straightened it, and today I scrunched it with some mousse and let it do it's natural thing, which is somewhere between wavy and curly. And it STILL LOOKED CUTE :D For someone as hair-stupid as me, this does not happen terribly often \o/
I am also now the owner of a copy of Scribblenauts. Has anyone else played? Because it's bleeping addictive. I also sort of splurged on some Victoria's Secret hand lotion and coordinating body spray--they were having a sale, and I had just gotten my hair cut, so I was feeling very pretty :3c
We also watched the finale of America's Got Talent. Mom and I always try to peg the top three and the winner. We were betting on either Barbara Padilla (the opera singer) or Recycled Percussion (potentially the next Stomp), with Kevin Skinner (country singer) as our dark horse. Kevin Skinner won, and it was AWESOME :D Especially when the host asked him what he was going to do tomorrow and Kevin said, "I don't know, I'll figure it out later!" It was a good finale and a good show. ONTO NEXT SEASON!
...it occurred to me the other day that I have a half-finished fic on the Layton anon meme that I never actually did get around to finishing. I should do that because I had a really kick-ass ending in mind for it. And I didn't ever even start on that Victorian AU prompt. And in the back of my mind, I'm going, "NaNo projects! NaNo projects!" We shall see.
And finally, David Tennant has a really sexy voice. This may or may not have anything to do with the fact that I have a serious weakness for accents. Ya know. I'm just saying. And
magicbulletgirl and
magic_truth, both of you can just hush up right now ^.~
*sighs and goes back to studying*

Date: 2009-09-19 01:25 am (UTC)It's fantastic. Seriously--I've beaten a puzzle using a pegasus. A sphinx. A bleeping PTERODACTYL (which I have mentally named Myfanwy). A walrus. The game is cracked-out win, and I'm loving it :D

Date: 2009-09-24 04:46 pm (UTC)I heard his real Scottish accent. And then I sort of melted because guuuuuuh, so pretty to listen to *g* Still have not watched Doctor Who, a fact that has sparked a friendly "get her to watch!" crusade with a few of my friends. Torchwood, however, is sucking my soul out through my ears *laugh*
