*sneaks back in and looks around*
Oct. 14th, 2009 10:04 amErm...yes. Two weeks or thereabouts since I last updated this thing? Sorry. Hermity!Candy has been a bit of a hermit. Won't go into too many details, but after a crisis of oh-my-god-what-the-fek-am-I-doing regarding work and worrying about my test (which I'm still not ready for, PANICTIEMZNAO), I'm getting out of my little funk.
I haven't checked my f-list much in the last couple of weeks. D-did I miss anything? *g*
Parents celebrated their twenty-ninth wedding anniversary on October 4th. We went to Red Lobster. Delicious shrimp is very delicious. I ate too much, but that's okay. Then we went home and my aunt stopped by. She has a new dog. Her name is Coco, and she is a big lovable snuggly ball o' fluff!
We've had snow here. Twice. Barely a dusting, but snow it has been. ATTENTION, WEATHER: WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE SNOW FOR REALZ UNTIL AFTER HALLOWEEN. Then it becomes fair game. But not too much of it. Really. Last winter was awful, and I live in an area made of hills.
Stuff has been happening at work. Due to them hiring more techs, there aren't enough hours to go around for everyone to get as many as they were promised. Sooooo I'm getting cross-trained across two other departments to get more hours. This is fine by me. Pulled my first shift in a different department yesterday, and will be in yet another department tomorrow. When all is said and done I will be trained across a grand total of four departments.
Kingdom Hearts playing continues slowly. I guess when I think of Kingdom Hearts, I tend to think of slightly larger worlds than the ones they're giving me, because Agrabah (thus far) has consisted of three "rooms." Come on, even Chain of Memories had sizable worlds. Maybe I just haven't gotten quite that far yet.
Little Sister (generally known for the purposes of this LJ as Bug) is coming home at the end of the month for fall break. We're going to celebrate both our birthdays then. We're two years and five days apart, so it makes sense to just do them together when we're both here, ya know? Less expensive as well, doing one birthday dinner instead of two. I'm looking forward to getting to spend a bit o' time with her before she goes back. She wants us to go out for sushi :D
...blaaaaaaaah want to write something *flops*
Okay, enough flailing, there's the short version of the Update On My Life. Now I have to clean and do laundry. And possibly find something to eat because I am a hungry girl who does not have to work today HUZZAH!

Date: 2009-10-14 08:40 pm (UTC)My brother and I are exactly three years apart in age. We always celebrated our birthdays together.... that is, until he started complaining he wanted his own birthday. Ah well.

Date: 2009-11-03 03:47 pm (UTC)Wow 0.0 My sister and I are two years, four/five days (depending on how you count), and we generally celebrated separately until we got older, when we'd say, "Let's just do one birthday dinner. It's less expensive that way."
