candylandTwo of my friends from college are getting married! I got the invite in the mail yesterday! *bounces around* I'm excited!
Oh yeah - the other night I had a brief conversation with my mother that cemented the fact that I do have the coolest mother on the planet. I mean, as if there was any doubt, but this confirms it times over nine thousand, as far as I'm concerned!
MOM: But really, when you get right down to it, I think everyone secretly loves porn.
ME: *raises an eyebrow*
MOM: ...or not so secretly, as the case may be.

A week and a half left to Beauty and the Beast. Plans are being made for an Epic Weekend of Awesome (as we have dubbed it) that will involve munchies, movies, and much gaming. And hopefully the finishing of our in-progress games. Of which there are currently three.
Ace Attorney Investigations continues to be fookin' awesome. We're into case four, and![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
kaitodoushi and I are getting pretty darn good at guessing the plot points before the characters do (or will let us). Also, I am intrigued by the portrayal of Certain Characters. Fandom usually has him as this total bastard, but he's actually acting kind of...I dunno...human. And the way Miles acts around him kind of supports that. I rather like it :D
But really, all you need to know is that the game has SWISS CAKE ROLLS IN IT. Kat and I outright squealed when we saw that - it's sort of a tradition for us, dating back to our very first mutual play-through (which was actually Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations), that when we game together, we have a box of Swiss Cake Rolls to munch on. THE GAME IS INSIDE OUR HEADS *puts on tinfoil hat*
On a semi-related note, I'm finally catching up on my Nancy Drew games. Yes, I know it's silly, but they're fun and usually don't take too much thought. I have one left to beat, and I have once again played them all. I don't see myself replaying The Haunting of Castle Malloy anytime soon, though. The final puzzle made me want to punch a baby *rages*
Oh yes, and my pink-eye is more or less gone :D Might wait until tomorrow to put my contacts back in before work...

The second they looked at that packaged I loved how we were like "...Wait, whut? o_o" I mean, there's appealing to the fans and then there's watching us through your window secretly and putting in the reference so we know what they did.

As for a Certain Character; maybe it's the scary smile and the voice that invite such ideas. Also, when we first meet said person, it is from Phoenix's P.O.V. I think there's a lot to be said about that as far as fandom impressions go.
I suppose in a weird way that sort of 3D characterization just makes me want to play AAI more. (I didn't have the money to buy it yet because we went to the Olympics).
Love your icon, BTW.
