...I realized that I never actually posted this here, but...
I got the job. The regular-time job, I mean :D
I was ninety-nine percent sure that I'd get it, since I've been there the longest of the part-timers, but there's always room for doubt, ya know? I had my interview last week on Monday with the Big Boss. I've been trying my hardest to do better at...well, everything. Lord knows I'm nowhere near perfect, and I still do stupid things and make dumb mistakes and ask silly questions, but I'm a lot better than I was!
...the part that sort of made me go "Whoa..." was when he asked me what I thought my strongest point was in the pharmacy. I start thinking of the different jobs down there, and I think I went with good on the cash register. Apparently that's wrong: my attitude. I try to be pretty positive in my daily life (contrary to what you probably read on here most days), and...it's kind of nice to be complimented for it.
But yup, I got it. Consistent hours, benefits, and a raise. Plus, today I worked a shift in salad bar as well. I'm sort of hoping they'll let me keep doing a shift a week over there. I like the people in that department, it's a few extra hours, and it's a nice little change of pace.
I also went and talked with the Personnel Manager today about insurance. Need to get my paperwork filled out and turned in for that. My coworkers weren't kidding when they told me that our workplace has REALLY good insurance. There's also a thing called Healthy Lifestyles (and because I'm not a tobacco user) where I can save twelve bucks a week by participating. Just have to do two health-promoting activities a year, as sponsored by my employer. Needless to say, I'm joining in.
For the moment, life is good :D
kaitodoushi is over right now. We beat Sora's story on Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. We'd heard a lot about how hard the final boss battle with Marluxia (...Mar-LOO-sha...) was. It was a three-stage fight. Kat beat the first stage on the first try, and the second/third stage...on the second try. Now we're playing Riku's story, which is looking to be INFINITELY easier!
I celebrated my Backloggery birthday a couple of days ago :D I also finally revamped the layout and banner and everything - actually did that a few weeks ago when I had a burst of inspiration. I think it all looks pretty spiffy!
Just a heads up: "No Little Plans" will be updated in the next couple of days. Some seriously interesting stuff happening in this upcoming chapter. I'm looking forward to posting it ^___^
And finally,
ickaimp told me about something that just, well...where can I find this person so I can thank them personally? *blushes and flails around* Th-thank you... ♥
*pulls out DS and goes back to finally beating PW:JFA for the love of god*
