Just...what?

Apparently, it wasn't accomplished by Two Girls, One Cup...or Goatse...or any of the other interesting little things floating around on the interwebs. Nope - the city I live in has apparently DESTROYED TEH INTARWEBS.

...I mean, right? RIGHT? A promo video for RAGBRAI riders has trashed the internet and everything on it, right? Pfft~ I honestly don't know why all the fuss. It's a silly video featuring a bunch of our local celebrities and community fixtures - why so serious, rest-of-the-world? Why so serious?

(For the record? I love my city and love living here. So there =P )


Tomorrow night, Rach and I are going to see Alice in Wonderland at the cheapy theater here in town. As I trust ickaimp's judgment to be solid, expect ficcage to follow XDD *takes notes and unleashes the plunnies*

...I work with some of those people! XDD I run soundboard in two of the radio stations they showed. I giggled quite a lot at all the people on there I know in person.

For the record, I hate it here but THAT DOES NOT MEAN IT'S A BAD TOWN.


Also, I totally do not understand what's going on. Where is the internet destroying?

Mom and I sat there and went, "Oh, that's so-and-so, and that's such-and-such..." All the local celebrities were on there. I thought it was fun~

*shrug* Beats me. I first heard about it when Rachel linked me to an article that said Sioux City had destroyed the internet. And I'm going, "Wait, what? TWO GIRLS, ONE CUP DIDN'T ALREADY ACCOMPLISH THAT? Have these people not heard of Rule 34?"

I've come to the conclusion that people are silly *nods sagely*

It's not so bad... but the editing sorta was hit and miss to me. Sometimes it was awesome, but some other times it was really out of sync. XD

Why? Has it been featured in the news recently? huh

Yeah, I agree. But I guess for me that was part of the funny. Plus, I can only imagine how long this took to put together - the timing, getting the footage, and editing everything together. Quite an undertaking~

I heard about this when my friend linked me to a news story in some major newspaper that said we had destroyed the internet. Goatse didn't do that already? But I heard that the same lady made another video to "American Pie," but instead of the day the music died, it was the day the internet died.

And this is why I like where I live \o/
