MOVIE SIGN!
May. 17th, 2010 08:23 pmLast night,
raerae639 and I went to see Alice in Wonderland.
I friggin' loved it! :D The visuals, the interpretation, the...everything! THE JABBERWOCKY! I actually read the book way back in the day (I think I was in first grade or thereabouts, so it's been a REALLY long time), but I do remember the illustrations of "Jabberwock," and the Jabberwocky's design seemed to be based very heavily on those original drawings, which was cool.
No one plays crazy like Helena Bonham Carter, and...well, Johnny Depp continues to refuse to appear sane on film, but it works for him. He played a very different reinterpretation of the Hatter, and it cracked me up :D
So yes, very pleased~ *plots fics and reads all the ones I can get my hands on*
But at the end of the movie, we stayed put to watch the credits and see who voiced who. There was a group of people in front of us, around our age or maybe a little younger. Well, Alan Rickman's name came up on the screen (he voiced the Caterpillar), I wound up having a moment with the girl in front of me...
HER: Oh my god! Snape, Snape, Severus Snape...
ME: Dumbledore!
...a la "The Mysterious Ticking Noise" from Potter Puppet Pals. I got a high-five, and we finished the song together \o/
We also had a TOTALLY MATURE GIGGLE over a mushroom on the screen that looked like a penis :3c
