A while back, I picked up a game on the recommendation of the lovely [livejournal.com profile] cherelle_holmes. The game was called Feel the Magic XX/XY. It's basically a bunch of rather silly minigames linked together along a singular premise.

Here's the deal: you're trying to help a guy impress this girl. And you do this with the help of a group called the Rub Rabbits by doing performances to get her attention. You have to save her a couple of times from small dangers, like rampaging bulls and sentient, man-eating plants. (I WANT THAT LEVEL TO BURN JUST LIKE THE PLANT DID *foams*)

Verdict? This might be the weirdest game I've ever played. It was just strange. But the visuals were really cool--very unique. So I'm not sure if I'll be replaying anytime soon, but it was definitely worth the ride.

Currently working on finishing a game that [livejournal.com profile] lwyn let me play, called Time Hollow. I'm so close to the end, might just wrap that one up today...she lent me another one that looks very creepy. And I like creepy \o/ I need to finish them quickly so I can get them back to her.

Otherwise, finally plugging in Hotel Dusk: Room 215 on the insistence of my dahling [livejournal.com profile] ammchan. I've had the game for a while. Just hadn't gotten around to playing it. So far it's...slow. Really slow. It wouldn't be quite as bad if I could make the text go faster. But I'm told it picks up pretty quickly, so I'll stick with it for a while.

Oh, and if you own a PSP and you have not played Patapon, then half your life is gone.

One of my more frivolous New Year's resolutions was to try and get through some of my backlog of handheld games. And I am actually making good headway on that, it seems! Keeping the ol' Backloggery up to date is turning into a daily event. Like most other things that involve checking something as completed, it's ridiculously satisfying!

If today goes anything like yesterday did, there will be a fic posted tonight. I think I might be over my dry-spell :D

Oh, you're playing Hotel Dusk? Yeah, it starts pretty slow, but the game is amazing, and the ending is one of the best I've ever seen.

Time Hollow looks interesting o-o

Yup. I'm not very far into it yet (still on Chapter 1), but I've been told that it picks up, so I'm going to stick with it and see where it goes.

It is interesting. Very unique story idea. It takes a bit to sort of figure out where the story is going, but now I really want to see where it winds up.

W-why the hate, lady? I love you so... ;3;

I will let you know. Might even start it today, 'cause having two games going at once is more fun--have something to switch to when frustration starts! Although if it's that complex...here's hoping I can figure it out *pokes fingers together*

0.0 I WILL LOOK INTO IT? I PROMISE! *guide? paws at now*

D'aaaw, Feel the Magic was my very first DS game. :B I still have it in a drawer.

Also I've played Roco Loco does that count ;3; I only learned about Patapon after my brother Josh sold his PSP.

It was an interesting game, to say the least XD Although I'd sort of like to kick whoever designed the Plants game. For whatever reason, I had trouble beating that stupid level!

:O I am not familiar with Roco Loco! *vows research*
