Gaming update~
Mar. 18th, 2009 07:44 amA while back, I picked up a game on the recommendation of the lovely
cherelle_holmes. The game was called Feel the Magic XX/XY. It's basically a bunch of rather silly minigames linked together along a singular premise.
Here's the deal: you're trying to help a guy impress this girl. And you do this with the help of a group called the Rub Rabbits by doing performances to get her attention. You have to save her a couple of times from small dangers, like rampaging bulls and sentient, man-eating plants. (I WANT THAT LEVEL TO BURN JUST LIKE THE PLANT DID *foams*)
Verdict? This might be the weirdest game I've ever played. It was just strange. But the visuals were really cool--very unique. So I'm not sure if I'll be replaying anytime soon, but it was definitely worth the ride.
Currently working on finishing a game that
lwyn let me play, called Time Hollow. I'm so close to the end, might just wrap that one up today...she lent me another one that looks very creepy. And I like creepy \o/ I need to finish them quickly so I can get them back to her.
Otherwise, finally plugging in Hotel Dusk: Room 215 on the insistence of my dahling
ammchan. I've had the game for a while. Just hadn't gotten around to playing it. So far it's...slow. Really slow. It wouldn't be quite as bad if I could make the text go faster. But I'm told it picks up pretty quickly, so I'll stick with it for a while.
Oh, and if you own a PSP and you have not played Patapon, then half your life is gone.
One of my more frivolous New Year's resolutions was to try and get through some of my backlog of handheld games. And I am actually making good headway on that, it seems! Keeping the ol' Backloggery up to date is turning into a daily event. Like most other things that involve checking something as completed, it's ridiculously satisfying!
If today goes anything like yesterday did, there will be a fic posted tonight. I think I might be over my dry-spell :D
