It was one of those rare moments where I just looked at them and thought they looked cute together. That was seriously my only justification. Plus, Flora had so little screentime that we didn't get much characterization on her. So it's fun to make one up!
♥ Layton/Legal - This one grew on me, mostly while I was writing LfH. I try to be open-minded about ships, so when I saw the prompt, I thought it was a good opportunity to give it a try. The rest, pardon the pun, is history. I will also note that I don't ship little!Luke with Layton. No thank you, not my kink.
♥ Layton/puzzles - I requested this on the meme. TELL ME I AM WRONG.

Date: 2009-07-09 02:55 am (UTC)♥ Sakura/Syaoran - I tend towards canon ships, and this is no exception. Syaoran's shy, stammering attempts to confess to Sakura amused me to no end, and it always made me giggle when he would get interrupted. It's another case of "This is just cute!"
♥ Eriol/Tomoyo - My very first non-canon ship. They're both pretty, both rich, both scarily domestic, and both might be slightly evil. They wound up being my favorite CCS pairing, and incidently, it was because of this pairing that I wound up joining LJ :D
♥ Touya/Yukito - This is one I've grown to appreciate more as I've grown in fandom. When I was into CCS, I was still a comparatively young fandom-goer, and the idea of shounen ai was still a little bit foreign to me. In hindsight, I think it's very sweet, and Touya's concern and willingness to give up his magic has me sold.
(Honorable mention to Fujitaka/Nadeshiko.)
Regarding Layton/Claire: if they eff up the localization and the voice acting on that scene at the end of the third game, where "Jikan Ryoko" is playing? Baby Jesus will cry, and I might start something on fire.

Date: 2009-07-09 02:59 am (UTC)♥Eriol/Tomoyo: ME TOO I JOINED LJ BECAUSE OF ERIOL/TOMOYO. At least, I came back to it. A shipper found me writing on ff.net and invited me to a community here. I still write the pairing, but rarely.
♥Touya/Yukito: I had the same problem and then I was rereading again recently and I was just struck by how deeply they cared for each other. It's really lovely, all the things they say and do not say in the story.
(Fujitaka/Nadeshiko....... All I can say is that I wish Nadeshiko wasn't dead because they are the cutest thing ever.)
I haven't seen the Japanese ending, but if it sucks, I will cry too. ;;

♥ Mytho/Rue - Unrealistic as their relationship might have been, I liked Rue and I liked her character development, and I wanted her to have a happy ending. And the more I look back on it, for a guy who didn't feel, Mytho wound up being a fairly dynamic character.
♥ Uzura/tails - Especially donkey tails :D

Really, considering it was a fairy tale and the way those usually go, they have a TON of backstory and grounds for something. And I saw it pointed out that several of his heart shards seemed to focus around her, like affection. And love went to her first. I think it seemed so odd cause we never got to really see him as he was until the last two episodes.

I read the manga before I saw the anime, and the manga leans towards Asmi. Ascot went through a lot of changes because of Umi and what she said to him. And he's so shy...I just think it's cute!
♥ Fuu/Ferio - Nerdy girl gets the guy first. I love it. Doesn't hurt that I liked Ferio as a character, and the twist about who he really is was pretty sweet.
♥ Clef/Presea - I liked Presea. She kicked ass. Clef grew on me. And in the manga...eh, these two are pretty obvious :D

♥ Mitsuhiko/Ai - Mitsuhiko is sweet and a little bit mature for his age. Ai is rediscovering her childhood. They have similar interests in science. I could see something happening between them when they grow up.

♥ Klavier/Apollo - I adore Apollo, and the dynamic between him and Klavier cracks me up with his Germany smoothness. Which made that one fic where Klavier was secretly a virgin all the more hilarious
and hot, unf unf.♥ Phoenix/Iris - Okay, I admit to it. I sort of have a soft spot for this pairing in a sort of one-sided sense from Iris' side, if that makes sense... *pokes fingers together* DON'T JUDGE ME.

♥ Tamaki-Kyouya - Notice the dash here. I don't ship these two, I friendship them. They're a textbook case of opposites attracting and bettering each other. Tamaki drew Kyouya out of his shell and got him to act like an actual person now and then, whereas Kyouya is a good foil to Tamaki's antics and balances him out as the voice of reason.
